Lotrek quotes:
It is completely secret and nothing will be revealed by me. Preferably by anyone, ever. Imagine a deck that nobody can see unless they own it.
Seriously now, it will be only one edition at the "mystery deck" level.
As I think through these two quotes, I don't think they work together. If there is a non "mystery deck" level of this edition, then the cat is essentially out of the bag and there will be a release of the deck art such that someone at least has a very good idea of what the "mystery deck level" of the deck must look at. They certainly know what the art looks like. I am not complaining and frankly don't care if folks know what the "mystery deck" looks like by there being a "non mystery deck level" deck released. It doesn't matter to me. I am just pointing out that if there is a version of the deck released that isn't on the same level, folks will still know what the deck looks like. Actually, I would kind of like a less expensive version anyway so I could better enjoy the deck without having to desecrate my "mystery deck".

No, you cannot enjoy the deck unless you open it.
The mystery deck will remain a mystery deck as long as the secret is not revealed. If it is revealed I MIGHT print an inexpensive version later but this is not granted. What I mean is that the mystery deck in all its mystery will be printed only once and there will not be a different color version, nor there will be a test print etc.
Let's say that if people love the expensive car they'll get, I might sell a cheaper version having three wheels, one window and 2 gears.
EDIT: And no mirrors.

Wait, but this now encourages folks to share and reveal the mystery

I love the idea of the mystery but who really believes that a secret shared by say, 300 people can be kept in the internet world? However I'm thinking of ways to actually MAKE people keep the secret.
A secret is more valuable when it is secret. So by showing pictures, people will automatically degrade in a way the value of the original deck. The point is to have people -who don't own the deck- wondering "what the hell is in there"?
Anyway, just a few thoughts and a lot of wishful thinking...

And it will STILL be better than 90% of card designs out there

I'm all in! I can't wait.

There should be a hidden forum or some place where CRYPT owners can congregate to talk about the deck, etc.

You know I'm in.
And, I open my decks. Poor Vasta. He'll never know what he's missed.
But, I *will* know what he's missed. Because, I won't miss a thing.

Or buy 3 and don't open any of them

I'll buy a half brick, put them inside an acrylic box sealed with iron straps and set up a 24/7 stream so Lotrek can watch them never be opened.

Market it as a streaming service for $.99 per month to fund your card addiction.

Well, well, well, Lotrek. I just might buy this one.
If you release a 2nd version, I will T-bag you.

I made a joke on Instagram that maybe this is a Resurrection deck with an empty tomb. Folks that never open it, never get the joke. Lotrek decks should be opened and enjoyed. If you really want one sealed then buy two or more. If you can only get one, do yourself a favor and open it. Take good care of it if you want, but open it.

It makes absolutely no sense if someone only buys one of this particular deck, doesn't open it but still would wanna know what's inside.

Tip for vasta. Buy one deck. Send to someone you know, that opens his decks and that owns one as well, a picture to prove that you have the deck. Let her/him send you in private pictures of the cards. Problem solved.
Or if someone with this deck lives close to you, ask for an audience

Or: Paul could buy the deck, send it to someone who only wants the cards, and they can return the tuck box with another deck of cards inside. He can appreciate the tuck and feel that it's full of cards...

I collect playing cards, not riddles. I
don't want to know what's inside. If I wanted to figure out a mystery I'd buy a puzzle.

In the end it just makes me laugh when people are trying to dictate how someone should collect playing cards. To each is own ... If you like opening and playing go ahead.. If you like unopened decks on your shelves good for you.... Sometimes I open, most of the time I don't... Everyone has a different way to enjoy their hobby and that crazy Greek product line

I'm very close to final decisions about this strange thing. Release date will be the 15th of March.

The Ides of March? A Roman deadline to settle debts

That is funny. RIP my wallet.
Of course it was also the date of Julius Caesar's assassination as well.

March 15th, 1977 - the comedy "Three's Company" starring John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt and Suzanne Somers premiered.
I could get behind a Lotrek-designed Three's Company deck....I think....
