I personally felt that the first design was somewhat incomplete and actually liked the second design, but this latest back is awesome! Great job!

Re: HELLO TIKI 2nd Edition / Soon on Kickstarter
Love it! Much better with the addition of elements from the first back. It's a good combination that has the best of both. Nice work.
I've spent way more than I care to admit on playing cards, but I'll still buy just about anything that Lorenzo, Jackson, or Gio make.

I love the fact that you are sharing your process with us, and that we can contribute to your brainstorming. It is fun to see the evolution of this deck. As always, you know I'll be in.

I also love that you are sharing here and taking in put from these very knowledgeable members, myself not really included lol. I still prefer the original. I do appreciate all the work in coming up with the other candidates.

Re: HELLO TIKI 2nd Edition / Soon on Kickstarter
Thanks!
@STLBluesNut , I agree with @shermjack. I posted that first image as a concept only. I knew the design will be updated anyway. As I show the process please prepare to see some so called "good designs" trashed.
Faces are not completed but I am planning to launch my campaign this weekend if nothing happens.
I'll work on the back today. Maybe make just some changes. This concept is final.
As I like both designs
I am thinking of printing 2 decks. Two? No! Three! Same faces. I cannot guarantee but who knows.
THIS IMAGE IS MY HEADACHE NOW
White, Black, and Red TIKI?
OMG.
p.s. 50% probability

Re: HELLO TIKI 2nd Edition / Soon on Kickstarter
I hope! Really want to print 3 backs!
Black Tiki can be even more different. Something like this. By the way, NEO style back of the box
UPDATE: Three back designs will be used to print 3 decks (or 2+2).
Black Tiki back confirmed! 100%

Re: HELLO TIKI 2nd Edition / Soon on Kickstarter
Need some work on the Red Tiki design.
I'll probably use this for White Tiki. OR I can still produce 4 boxes but two decks. Black + White boxes will share Black Tiki design and Red Tiki will use it's own. Maybe with a second box. Much easier to produce two decks than three.
But using this back for both boxes (Black and White) will make everything easier to manage.

Hi! It's not the best time of the year to launch this project. I'll announce a new launch day when I know. Also prefer to finish most of the cards before the launch. January 2nd?

Re: HELLO TIKI 2nd Edition / This Saturday on Kickstarter
Hi!
Project launch times. No EB = No rush. This time I"ll try to use just three levels - NZ/USA/Worldwide. I'll think about EB but cannot guarantee.
Prices (shipping included, up to 12 decks):
NZ: US$11.7-16.6
USA: US$12.4-17.3
Worldwide: US$13.7 - 18.6
Example for 3 decks (shipping included)::
NZ: US$13 per deck
USA: US$13.7 per deck
Worldwide: US$15 per deck
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ ... 40&p12=264
Updated tuck box (three foils and embossing stretch goal). This design is almost final.
UPDATE: new bottom/back

I bet you're also working on all 6 simultaneously lol. And obviously, living in Tomorrowland (aka New Zealand), you must be stealing hours in the day from the rest of the world while we're all sleeping! No wonder I've been waking up feeling more and more tired lately - you're stealing my beauty rest hours so you can keep designing non-stop! HOW DARE YOU!montenzi wrote: My 2019 goals - at least 6 decks (Hello Tiki, Glide, Lino, H***, SF****, P***)![]()
Btw, the deck looks awesome and thanks for posting the time zone conversions
Good luck! (Not that the campaign for this deck will need lol)

Not only! You forgot about SUMMER timePipChick wrote:I bet you're also working on all 6 simultaneously lol. And obviously, living in Tomorrowland (aka New Zealand)
I work on one deck at a time. If no progress I can think about something different. By the way! All I am trying to do is to re-draw a standard deck of cards ... huge progress here - one card 50% completed. But it's too boring so I relax working on custom decks

Not a day but +6 months in advance.
If that's the case, I can only imagine how mind-numbing it must be for you to see designers release recolor after recolor of completely standard cards...montenzi wrote:By the way! Not really. I am ok as it's not my business. But if I need something standard I have $2 Bicycle decks in my "collection". I have only opened two standard decks - Cobra and Monarch. That's it.PipChick wrote:If that's the case, I can only imagine how mind-numbing it must be for you to see designers release recolor after recolor of completely standard cards...![]()

Live now!
Found first incorrect pledges
It's easier to use this ready to use price table:
Or just N * ($17 for NZ, $18 for USA and $20 for INT) + NZ$8 shipping. Where N is a number of decks.

Re: HELLO TIKI 2nd Edition /Live on Kickstarter
While I'm very grateful that designers share their works in progress with us here, I have to say it hasn't had a positive effect on me regarding this as well as the NEO Wave decks. In both cases I have really liked the initial designs shown, and by the time the project launches it has changed so much that it's basically a different deck. I still liked NEO Wave enough to back, but sadly that's not the case this time.
Montenzi: I don't want to discourage you from sharing your progress, just explaining my point of view (would be cool to hear if anyone else has had similar experiences, so I know I'm not crazy
). I still wish you all the best in getting this project funded, of course!

Re: HELLO TIKI 2nd Edition /Live on Kickstarter
I agree with you! That's why most of my next decks will be presented in a final version.
But Neo Wave's original back is another story and I still love that back and the box! I'll probably use that design to print something small and .. standard. Hello Tiki first back was not ok at all, sorry.

I agree with sharing a more finalized version. I like having input in a campaign when possible, but it can get a little crazy with all the designs being thrown around here.

Re: HELLO TIKI 2nd Edition /Live on Kickstarter
I agree! I am too crazy when I work
By the way - what is more important - to produce this box with foil and embossing earlier or to produce two decks first and then upgrade boxes?
Boxes could be upgraded at NZ$11k. Almost same level ($13k) to print Black/White Tiki deck with standard USPCC box.
To summarise changes made in this campaign from the beginning (...and you are lucky - you have not seen my first box design)

Ok.
Stretch goals updated: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mo ... ts/2383402
Foil and embossing will be available by default but our 2nd deck (Black/White Tiki) will be produced at NZ$19000 only.

I think I am with MagikFingerz on this one. I liked the original back design much much better than the final.
The only thing that may sway me in the end is the foily tucks.
