The ones he sold on Wednesday, weren't they the Red Labyrinth Solved Artist Proof decks? If so, I know about those. I was thinking it was a February 2019 Limited Artist Proof version. As far as I know, he didn't release an Artist Proof for the February 2019 Limited deck, but I could be mistaken.

Yep, Wednesday was the (Murphy's Magic) Red Labyrinth Artist Proofs
February's Labyrinth also had the two-deck collector set - maybe that was with decks that would have been used as Artist Proofs otherwise? (He's said on IG that the artist proofs are basically extras)

Hi All,
Thanks for the responses.
Yes, I know this is an almost impossible task due to all the diifferent iterations of each deck but hopefully between us we can get at least 99% accuracy
Equinox I: I'm sure there was no gilded edition here until the recent reprint - this is what I meant in the original post (updated now) & I forgot about the standard reprint edition. I'm surprised there was an Artist's Proof of the original edition though!
Haunted 8s & Old Ironsides Artists Proofs: Did these come in "official" tucks with Artist Proof stickers or are we talking about the ones in the plain white tucks?
Deck the Halls: I am also not aware of a gilded or Artist Proof edition, If anyone knows otherwise please can you share a photo.
Labyrinth: I didn't include the 2 deck set in the list as they contain the same 2 decks as the standard solved & unsolved editions.
Brad: Please can you share a photo of the Crimson Edition, I know nothing about this one ;o)
Americana: Likewise, I didn't include the Jumbo tuck cases in the list as the decks inside are the same as those already on the list.
Anything else please let me know so I can update the list.
Thanks

Yes, there are Artist Proofs. I have them, and I have also seen them on eBay from time to time, but mainly when they first came out. These Artist Proofs are of the first edition in 2018. Jackson started the Artist Proofs back in the beginning. I think this was his way of selling his surplus limited tucks and have a bit of fun with it.
Haunted 8s & Old Ironsides Artists Proofs: Did these come in "official" tucks with Artist Proof stickers or are we talking about the ones in the plain white tucks?
These are in the limited edition "official" tucks with "Artist Proof" on them. No numbering. They are not in the plain white tucks.
Labyrinth: I didn't include the 2 deck set in the list as they contain the same 2 decks as the standard solved & unsolved editions.
Brad: Please can you share a photo of the Crimson Edition, I know nothing about this one ;o)
Sure, I will post photos on this thread when I get back to the office next week.

I don't have a picture but I'm not just making this up

I got an email on Nov. 29, 2018, subject: "Deck the Halls - Artist Proof Overruns now available"
Merry Early Christmas Kings Wild Shorts Subscribers
I'm getting ready to ship out the December Kings Wild Shorts Deck the Halls decks and I wanted to give everyone a chance to grab some of the extra Red Edition, Deck the Halls - Artist Proof Overruns I have so I can include in your December order.
The previous emails all listed how many were available - this one didn't

Thanks hsbc. I will take that as sufficient evidence to say there are 2018 Deck the Halls Artist Proof decks. It makes since that there are some. Heck, I may need to look over my stuff and see if I have one hidden away.

So there are now "Joker" stickers that can be used to fill in the KWS certificate
Even though I don't need one I want one, I could stick it in the corner of the certificate or something

Okay, here are some images of my KWP Crimson Labyrinth deck (sorry for the sad photo quality). There were 8 made. They are gilded solved Labyrinth decks in the modified red tuck cased for red labyrinth decks that were made for Murphy's Magic. Jackson had the first 4 auctioned on one of his Friday auctions.

Also, I just received my 2019 Equinox I reprint decks. I can't bring myself to open them, but they are really beautiful. I also received my red labyrinth Artist Proof deck as well.
EDIT: I just now realized in looking at the photos that Labyrinth is misspelled. Seriously, I didn't notice it until now.

HA! I was about to ask, "You havne't sent those back to me yet because of the spelling error? These are the very special and elusive Layyyyyyybrinth decks." I've corrected a few of the others. But those blasted tucks are so soft touch weve been tearing a few up trying to correct it.

Jackson, will you be providing other opportunities to get Joker stickers in the future? I think I got into Shorts way too late in the year to catch up on stickers, but I would like to have one at least.
Also where can we get the certificate to apply the stickers to?

So the 20/20 Prototype Deck went on sale to KWS members yesterday...
...and sold out before I could get one

Even with a limit of two per person

Just makes me want to suggest that it should be one per person
It's just frustrating and leaves me feeling forgotten, like being a subscriber doesn't really guarantee anything on the Members Only page

I also can't help but feel like a second-tier customer sometimes since I never make any large orders, but I see people on IG post extra decks and stickers and signed blocks of wood and all sorts of stuff, and the KWP accounts seem to thank and repost the same subset of customers over and over

Sorry you feel left out. We did our best to give everybody a solid chance to grab the 20/20 prototype decks if they wanted to. We limited the number people could buy. They were available for about half a day after we released them so I think there was a fair ammount of time for people to grab them. We didn't make many of these decks on purpose. My main goal was to get them in peoples hands so they could give us feeback on the marking system, before I commited to making the main subscription deck marked.

Oh THOSE people posting on Instagram are insane even by my standards. You need to watch Jackson’s Sunday evening auctions for entertainment value. These folks though are an important part of the KWP customer base. Those three wooden blocks represent at least $300 in tips to the KWP fulfillment team, which do a ton of hard work al the time hand assembling and customizing a lot of the decks. Just take it as fun. Trust me, there are folks you never hear about that quietly snag a ton of KWP stuff. Some of those collections have to be amazing.

Equinox I (2018) Artist Proof - If anyone is interested in this deck, I know of two that are currently for sale. If you go to our sales site at UC, Sherman just put one up for sale for $110. There is also one listed on eBay for $129.98. I guess I shouldn't say I have three of these Artist Proofs.

Thanks for the reply

And sorry for the rant
It's more of a frustration that I have with the market overall I guess

Available for half a day is great compared with most high-profile releases, but no matter how I look at it I see the scarcity as entirely artificial. Why not e.g. offer pre-orders on new releases to KWS members for 24 or even 48 hours? It's just a very different experience from Kickstarter where you can almost always order the decks throughout the entire campaign (and often afterwards!) - but the decks I end up missing out on are the ones that I'm technically paying a monthly subscription to even be able to purchase? I don't know, obviously you're having lots of success with your business model which is genuinely awesome

You realize it was a prototype deck that sold out right? As a subscriber, you'll get the deck when it's released in the monthly subscription (with or without marking, which I assume depends on the feedback from the protos).

I can't see it on the UC Deck Sales site; I'm not interested in buying, but I'd hate to think I'm on the wrong site or section somehow.
And you have
three?! Do I also remember you saying that you ended up with multiple Golden Oath prototypes, too, or was that some other lucky b*****r?

Yeah, I have three Equinox I Artist Proofs (why did I admit that?)
Yes, I also have a few Golden Oath and Golden Oath Prototype sets. I didn't set out to own so many, just one. The others just ended up with me..somehow.
We were limited to two prototype decks, so I ended up getting the other two from someone else that was reselling them. I didn't purchase the Golden Oath decks from Lotrek. I had to get them in the secondary market. I think I got one in a trade, but I forget what I traded for it. I do like the Golden Oath decks. The tuck is especially nice. The photo does not do it justice.
Why did Lotrek only sign two of the Prototype sets and not the other two? Got tired? Probably. Lotrek doesn't even remember what happened.

Git it, cheers; I have that page bookmarked to trawl through.
And I love Golden Oath, too; it was THE deck I immediately wanted/needed when I first saw it. Got one on eBay a while back.

Here is the October 2018 Haunted 8 Artist Proof Deck. There is nothing really exceptional about this Artist Proof deck. It is in the Subscription Tuck (as opposed to the plain white tucks he used in 2018 for the display decks), and was also signed by Jackson. I don't see anything else to distinguish it as an Artist Proof deck.

I mentioned to someone else about the Postage Stamp deck (March 2020 Subscription Deck) with the back shown above. Jackson on Instagram this Sunday and mentioned he met a major playing card collector and was shown a near complete deck of random playing cards that were mailed through the USPS, most in the 1930's. There are some really cool vintage cards with old stamps and cramped in addresses to people and return addresses. Jackson is using that near complete deck as inspiration for this deck. I think that is going to be a really amazing deck.

Just received a Valley Forge Standard edition (white tuck) from a seller. It shows some light red rub-off under the cello. Has anyone noticed the same?

Red rub off from what? The Standards have blue foil? You will get the occasional smearing of hot stamped foil.

Bradius wrote:Red rub off from what? The Standards have blue foil? You will get the occasional smearing of hot stamped foil.
Hard to describe and since my phone camera is smashed I can't send detailed pictures. Very light smudges of red.
I suspect since there is a red tuck version of the Valley Forge it comes from the red tucks. Maybe when assembling with bare hands some of the red sticked to the fingers (sweat) and then when assembling the white tucks some of the colour smudged the tuck. Since it is under cello, it can't be from shipping or something else.
Not a big hassle though, just wanted to check if it is worth buying another one to get a 10/10. Or if this is more common with them to stick to one only.
