What if a told you, I think dark matter and dark energy is the natural state of the universe. All matter is trying to get to that natural state and the visible matter we see is just the burning flame. So if you imagine watching some logs burn, dark matter ends up being the ash of the logs and the dark energy is the smoke then the flame in the fire is all visible matter. Now the flame looks solid and looks to have structure, but the flame is only the transformation of energy and is not the real state.

It's sorta like finding out. What the earth is not flat? What the earth is not the center of the universe. What the earth orbits the Sun? What the earth is just one sun in a galaxy with 400 billion suns? What there are trillions and trillions galaxies? We are so small, but yet we still think God made the universe just for us.

There is some truth in that. I wonder if they have a model of what the universe actually looks like today. Light is at a constant speed, so what you see is not really what is there. It has already moved. If the big bang really happened then all the matter we see is like on the skin of an ever increasing basketball and supposedly it's accelerating. Time is a variable. Maybe time is accelerating and the expansion is constant. High school felt like an eternity. My twenties were fun, but seemed short. I yawned and I became 30. I farted and suddenly I'm now in my forties. Maybe if I sneeze I'll be in my 50's.
