Yes, Alex has indeed made contributions, but that doesn't excuse his breach of trust this time. I've given up hope of getting my money back—I just wish he would step forward, even if only to provide an explanation or an update.

Guys, what is the latest on this?

Doesn't Alex own P52, or at least partial ownership? I see that the site is still being regularly maintained and updated. Is there anyone we can reach out to to either get a hold of Alex for us or at least some kind of update?

Everything has been tried. He's not been able to be reached for whatever reason. There are other people taking care of the P52 site. Frankly, I think it's extremely unlikely we'll hear from him again and this project won't get fulfilled.

He owns this forum too but cannot be reached

Same. $500 for me. I imagine the total amount for all, is very significant. Likely never to be seen again.

All in too. I sadly have to write this one off too at this point. I still enjoy my many other wonderful NPCCD sets and other Alex Chen decks.

All in for 2 sets, and seemingly, long gone.

Remembering the good old days!!! When this campaign was in it's infant stage. We all threw our hard-earned money to Alex, in excitement and anticipation for what was to be some cool new mind-blowing decks.

After my resentment of not getting the set of 2020, I am going All-In for this one…. And… unfortunately, never gotta be fulfilled

Jack Brutus Penny mentioned that he knew he was physically well, yes. But that's all anyone knows. No one has been able to make contact with him.

Either way, if he is alive and well, he won't be able to show his face in the playing card community anymore. That would be an absolute outrage.

I'm surprised there is nothing we can do to get back our losses for an unfulfilled mass order like this. There needs to be checks and balances, as they say.

As I believe Gandalf has noted before, physically well does not mean all is well. He seems to have ‘disappeared’. Whatever it is, it is not good and suggests something significant. If he is able to find his way back, I hope there will be understanding and forgiveness waiting.

And while 'physically well' might imply he is 'not mentally well' that is not necessarily so either. Whether he has walked away from the industry to start afresh or whether he is struggling, we may never know But we should probably just let it go now

This has become one of the most unforgettable events in the playing card community, especially since so many people lost so much money. A similar case that comes to mind is The Origin Playing Cards by Skymember Presents.

It seems to me if he has essentially left the playing card business for whatever reason and this project will not be produced, then why not refund those that paid for what will not be produced?

He should handle this like Andrei Captan, who responded to everyone who backed the long delayed Great Gatsby playing cards, and offered them apologies and refunds.

If that's the case, then the reason would be he wants to keep the money or its already spent. I think it's likely something pretty serious has happened with him and that it's not as simple as him just running with the money. But we'll likely never know. He has built up a lot of respect and trust from the community, but he wouldn't be the first card creator that people vouched for that ended up lying and dipping. And I've known people personally in my life ( as I'm sure many do) that ended up doing things many that knew them would have thought impossible given their perceived character.

I wouldn't mind if the moderator closes up this thread and deletes it. Every time a person posts something here, it reminds and angers all of us over and over again who spent our money on these decks. So the less reminders the better that we all lost money and were betrayed. Then we can all move along and forget about it one day.

That's actually not a bad point; nobody has said anything new in this thread for the past several pages, and even that was merely an acknowledgement that Alex is still alive, but no more information than that.

Someday, we may receive word on what has happened with Mr. Chin, and when that day arises, I'm confident that a new topic will be started with that news. In the meantime, until there's something new to report regarding either him or the Blind Tiger project, I'm going to freeze this thread as is.
