I am thinking it was made around late 60's, or was it early 70's? I might be thinking about a different deck pair, because I remember the box as opposed to the decks themselves. I know that you have the factory sheets/advertising graphics. We just don't see things like that, so you will always be the authoritative source for dating things like these!

A few kickstarters in over the past week, heres the first from Three Amigo`s A 1977 reprint by Fournier of an earlier deck of theirs, designed by Molne. The Michael Scott`s Mauger Quadruplicates Kickstarter arrived a couple of weeks ago, i posted scans of them in Worldwide.Here`s the three Mauger Replica Editions. And the Two USPCC Editions. A single deck titled Trajes Franceses by Fournier, dated 1975. And a couple of Waddingtons "Branded" decks, The "Crown" brand was originally used by De La Rue and carried on by Waddingtons after the take over in 1969. Thanks for looking at my cards. -jase-

On the Maugers, the animal (I think it's a fox?) on the joker's torso is hard to see. Is it very distinct in person?

A couple of kickstarters came in the last week. first Defunctorum by Roman Kotiv, here`s the Dies & Nox editions. And the Cruor edition, the Flash went a bit haywire with this one sorry. A standard Italian deck by Del Negro showing the Bresciane pattern.The scans of these cards can be seen in Worldwide. And a Waddingtons Beautiful Britain deck to finish. The other Kickstarter was the long overdue Kingdoms of a new world by Nathanael Mortensen. A couple of De La Rue double sets, The advertising set is for Pirelli General Cable Works Ltd. A Facsimile of Mordens Playing cards of 1676, published by Harry Margary in 1972. Scans of this deck can be seen in worldwide. And a double advertising deck from Waddingtons to finish. A fournier deck titled Basque dated 1979. Designed by Isabel Ibanez De Sendadiano.Scans can be seen in the Worldwide forum. Impressions Set By MPC. Zigeuner Wahrsage Karten otherwise known as the Gypsy Fortune Telling deck made by Piatnik . And a Waddingtons Bezique set to finish. In 1984 Waddingtons repackaged all their boxsets to this Blue and White Number 1 scheme. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

A reproduction of a Mogul Ganjifa deck dated 2004. There is a Excellent post by Dazzelguts about this deck in the India section of worldwide . A few Modern decks. Lorenzo`s No.17 Kickstarter arrived on Monday.. Neoclasica By Fournier dated 1977, This is a reproduction of a Clemente Roxas deck from 1810 the original is in the Fournier card Museum.Scans can be seen in the Spanish section of the worldwide time machine. A "Poker Ingles" by Braulio Fournier of Burgos, Spain. Looks like they put a Large index(No.52) pack inside a regular Index(No.4 A) Tuck, Card backs are the same for large and regular index packs and there is a red version also. And last today a Waddingtons deck specially made for European Casino`s during the early 1970`s, Scans can be seen in the English section of the Worldwide. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

Finally got round to buying LUXX V.2 Kyd`s Pickwick Playing cards First published in 1982 by The Navarre Society Ltd, London. Spillekort No.333 by Handa of Copenhagen. The Courts are Handa`s own house design which look like the german Rhineland pattern but redrawn in a pseudo-medieval syle. And last picture today is of an Waddingtons Advertising deck. Not much of a Tarot collector but... A reproduction of a 1780`s Piquet set from Gibson & Gisborne, This pack was printed by Editiones del prado and was produced by the Fournier museum from a pack in their collection. Another Reproduction, U.S.P.C.C`s Vanity Fair No.41. This pack was produced in 1990 by Fournier cards.
The cards are bridge size. And last today a double advertising set from Waddingtons. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

The Vellichor decks from Dark Matter came today. A double pack from the Israel Museum dated 1999. These specially designed cards celebrate the museums receipt of a gift of more than 700 Dada and Surrealist works of art from the Scholar-Poet-Collector Arturo Schwartz. A reproduction of an Astronomical pack from Germany dated 1719, Printed by Ediciones del Prado and produced by the Fournier Card Museum in 2004 from the original pack in their collection, Dazzelguts has Scanned this deck and you can find it in the Germany section of Worldwide. A pair of Blue & Red decks advertising the Barracuda Club in London from Waddingtons. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

Histoire De France 1820 by Fournier Cards ,date unknown i`m afraid. This deck was originally published by Mme V. Dambrin of Paris, France in 1820 to Commemorate the marriage of the Duke of Berry and was designed by M. Hubigant. A couple of modern packs. A transformation pack by Dave Ufford called Eclecdeck. And last today a Wills Capstan advertising deck from Waddingtons. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

The Dark Matter Vellichorv deck is wonderful, though not very practical as playing cards.
Nice score on that EclecDeck too, eh. Such a small edition.

As always I am in awe of your collection good sir. (Not to mention just a tiny bit jealous)

If I ever win the lottery I am going to go on an around the world card buying excursion and I am starting in the UK.....

I`m pretty sure this was a Kickstarter deck from a few years back, i got a few nice decks including a couple more transformation decks from the same seller on e-bay

When i win the lottery i`m coming to America to shop at those Thrift stores you go to...that recent haul you posted in the "Look at what i added" thread is well impresive.

Heres a Worshipful company deck dated 1949 featuring Royal Ascot on the backs, printed by De La Rue. A new book for the collection ,along with a Bezique set. A sneeky peek inside the Goodalls Bezique set. dated between 1865 and 1870, Goodalls started using turned courts around 1870. A couple of posts worth of Russian decks for today.
First up is the 2014 reprint of a deck designed by Vladislav Erco. Ancient Civilizations printed by The Colour printing factory in St Petersburg. A deck of Matryoshka Dolls from Russouvenirs. A reproduction of an Fortune-telling deck from the 17th Century. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

The next four decks are all modern reprints made by Piatnik, Piatnik has produced both 36 and 52 card versions of all these decks.
First up a Black Palekh deck.A lot of discussion and pictures of this deck can be found in the "Worldwide" thread. There is also pictures of the White Palekh posted by nECrOMaNCeD. A deck with "Slavonic Style" courts. A deck with "Modern Style" courts next. And last of the "Russian" decks (for now) shows the Romanov Dynasty. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

Last post today.
First up Arnold Schoenberg playing cards. this pack is the Piatnik Edition No. 2852 from 1981. A facsimilie of the Spanish Armada deck from 1680, this deck was produced in 1988 by Roger Whiting. A couple of Red & Blue backed decks from Greece next. And last today a Barrel shaped advertising deck from Waddingtons, Interesingly the "Barrel" courts are the only version of the Waddingtons courts that are all turned. Two kickstarters arrived this morning.
The first ,"Spirit" from Gamblers Warehouse. Le Jeu du Destin Antique, A modern printing of a fortune-telling deck from Piatnik. Pol printed by Sikopol of Poland in 2005. And a double deck from Waddingtons to finish the post. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

The other Kickstarter deck i got today, which i had completely forgotten about, is "Monster pin-up Girls". A transformation deck dated 1819 and titled "Carte a rite" or "Conosciuto come Gioco dei Giornali" (The Game of Newspapers). Printed by Il Meneghello in 1997, The illustrations are attributed to Louis Atthalin. The Joker Deck, with the Burlesque back next. And a single deck from Waddingtons showing a Hunting scene on the back to finish today. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

What? That Joker deck actually was made! I wanted that one, but gave up on it. Nice!

The "Carte a rite" or "Conosciuto come Gioco dei Giornali" deck looks absolutely incredible !

Got Three packs of cards in today , a result of a trade with Dazzelguts
First one is a beautiful reproduction of Four corners of the world by F.G & Co. from 2003. The original pack was produced by Dondorf around the 1890`s. Next up a De La Rue with a MacGregor Tartan back. A pack of Chinese "Tseen-wan" cards , also known as money cards as the illustrations are inspired by old paper money,coins and strings of coins. Thanks Dazzelguts for a great trade and look forward to our next one

The last picture is an advertising double deck for the Canadian pacific sipping line with the Empress of England on the backs Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

Friedrick tiecks - Kartenspiel der sagenkriese and produced by Edition Leipzig. This is a huge boxset and i couldn`t fit everything in to the picture unless i stood around 12 feet away Anyway i`ll be doing scans of this 60 card pack for the worldwide soon. A pack of Green Cards from 2008 by Redwood cards ltd U.k. very cool court cards. A couple of modern decks. And last today a Blue & White Cribbage set from Waddingtons. This pack was pprinted by Editions del prado for the Fournier Card Museum. A couple of Modern Decks.
