These actually came in about a week ago. I just haven't had a chance to post them. I was impressed by the packaging!

Not only did the stamps covering all four sides make me smile...

but I appreciated the unexpected wooden box for security.

O.K. why does it keep rotating the 2nd picture??

For the Manifesto decks, whichever deck you wanted the metal seal on, that tuck wasn't wrapped in cello. My Bicycle deck was in cello and the unbranded deck with the metal seal on it wasn't.

Whether or not to have the seal attached and on which deck (branded vs. unbranded) was part of the Backerkit questionnaire. I, like Pierre, chose to have it unattached.

I think I should make sure the 1000th deck is special. What do you guys think?

Very nice! How do you make sure the 1,000th deck to arrive is special though? Timing is everything and Kickstarter and mail delivery is anything but predictable.

Did you use the PCDB dump and a stitch program (eg. http://unitedcardists.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=6417) to create your collage or another method? Just curious since my Picasa method didn't work as great using my current count.

So I guess you collect Bicycle, huh? ;) Wowsers!

Hey, I'm sure I could figure out a way to ensure a 1000th deck purchase.
I didn't use the pcdb dump. I have eery one of my tuckboxes scanned, and I used a program I have to stitch them together. The program is called DipStych

and yes.. I'm obviously a Bicycle whore lol

Card coins are like watches. You only need a few. You only need one coin to hold your cards in a game of Texas Holdem. YOu do have 2 wrists, but you get what I mean...

Hey,

It's a coin from Coins For Anything, it's not playing card related.
Jeff had sent it to me.

I'm not a professional nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night but I believe it's a challenge coin for the 320th Field Artillery from Forward Operating Base Gardez in Afghanistan.

The crossed cannon is the uniform insignia for an artillery unit. The punisher skull probably just a cool design the soldiers adopted. On the obverse from top to bottom is 101st Airborne insignia, followed by the Air Assault Badge (Helicopter with Laurels), last is the 320th Field Artillery Insignia. The names are a bit blurry but refer to Forward Operating Base Gardez, and have the names of the ranking officers and enlisted personnel.

From Wikipedia: A challenge coin is a small coin or medallion (usually military), bearing an organization’s insignia or emblem and carried by the organization’s members. Traditionally, they are given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale. In addition, they are also collected by service members. In practice, challenge coins are normally presented by unit commanders in recognition of special achievement by a member of the unit. They are also exchanged in recognition of visits to an organization.[1]
