I could be wrong but it seems like it has been a very long time since we have had an update on years 2 -4.

He's been showing production updates on Patreon. Epiphany will begin printing soon as the stock has now been ordered (a variant will be the Year 2 "base reward"), and Royal Patrons continues to be printed.
Year 2 Patreon Rewards (2021-2022) (in progress)
• Epiphany (Replacing Golden Rule)
• Royal Patrons

And he is reopening Patreon , I dont like it ,should have completed all pending rewards first imo
This cannot be true is it. Grow a backbone people - nobody signs up for it until he has caught up with all promised rewards
He mentions it in the email , I wont be subbing him until all rewards are delivered first
The new Patreon decks wont be Oath's luxurious foil decks , it would decks designed by him printed by USPCC/Kingstar/Legends etc or maybe by his own printers , it will be Players edition sort of

My guess as to what the new Patreon will be is related to the name ( codename?) he gave it, Experiment 26. There have been multiple times that hes sold off misprints and test prints of decks when he decided to do a reprint. Hes had to do tons of reprints that he had to foot the bill for. And its expensive. He mentioned in one of the posts hyping up the fomo for Epiphany that there wont be separate releases of any test or misprint decks. But there certainly still will be misprints and test prints . Such is the way of Lotrek ( not to jinx it for those that backed, but I would not be surprised by a major issue with the gilded version to be coming). My guess is the this Patreon will be used to fund all those reprints and he will ship out the test and misprint decks to patrons.

This was my thought as well. I developed an entire conspiracy theory around it as seen here a few weeks ago.

He mentioned it on a Patreon post on January 19th. At the end of Production Update #6.
"Experiment 26- Well this is the topic of our next update. Spoiler alert: PATREON will most likely reopen, but in a revolutionary way and with different tier structure! Forget everything you knew including my infamous delays!"
Spoiler...it wasn't in the next update.

its in the next update...probably, from todays.
Next week, we won't print anything (printer fully booked by other clients) and it's an opportunity to make that post regarding the future of PATREON which enters its second phase this month.
More details, in a few days...

My Red More decks "shipped" back on January 22, 12 days ago, and DHL is still awaiting the package. I do not think that part of Texas has had any weather issues. I really wish GW would improve getting decks actually shipped and not just sitting around waiting for a "full" shipment.

And also, super inconsistent. My label was created on January 22nd, but my decks are arriving today. For Mystery III, I was in your boat with a stagnant label while others were receiving their decks. If their methodology is to package enough for a bulk shipment, they should package all of the outstanding packages for a project before moving on to something else. I'm just glad they package well enough to avoid adding insult to injury.

Anyone remembers the price of the Golden Rule Players Edition (the red/black/gold tuck) and the Test Print Edition?
I thought the players edition was the official edition but see it's not. I seen the comparisons on Page 97+98 in this thread.

Golden Rule Players edition was released in April 2023 for 18€
Golden Rule Patreon Test edition was released in May 2025 for 30€

2 weeks later and he posts again... saying again he'll have info on the future of his Patreon next week. Did anyone that had the issue where they didn't get the free Qalif ever get a resolution from him. He never publicly addressed that issue.

Well, he released the details for Experiment 26 and its not what anyone here predicted. I don't understand how the name of it applies to the project. It's 12 decks per year with 2 released every other month. All based on old historical book bindings. The courts will be standard and the same for all. Basically the tucks and backs will be a single foil with a design based on a particular old book. He showed one example, which frankly looked pretty basic and the base pricing is $45 per month. The price is pretty nuts to me considering the typical price for a basic foiled deck is about $20. And he's going to deliver 12 decks a year now for this, while he's 5 years behind on previous rewards?! That sounds excessively hopeful on his part frankly.

I would agree this...isn't the best $55/month(thats what patreon is showing) for a non-foiled standard face deck and hes going to hit 1/month cadence?
I'll probably end up in, at least at first but ...I dunno man.

As much as I love his work, this sucks. It is delusional to think that adding more to the workload is not going to affect the delivery time of his current obligations. This is especially disappointing after he unequivocally stated he would pause Patreon until he was all caught up. No “experiment” needs to be done, he already proved he cannot add a deck per month to his workload with the Redemption Series. I’m out, and I’m unhappy that this will likely further delay the outstanding rewards. The funny thing is that if he had followed the model I had speculated about, I would have been happy to participate. It would have supported his work, provided Patrons with added value, and facilitated completion of the outstanding rewards. To say that I’m incredibly disappointed in this development is an understatement.

I'm not so concerned with Lotrek balancing these projects with his Year 2-5 obligations. He stated that once he sends things to the printer, he often has down time. More importantly, these experiment 26 decks are single foil decks and seem pretty standard.
I'm out because I don't think the cost justifies the end product. $55.50/month for fairly standard decks in different colorways isn't that appealing to me. Especially when I'm trying to whittle down my collection.
I'll probably downgrade to the $6 tier so I can get early access, and to track progress of the Year 4 and 5 rewards I'm due.

I think 26 means 2026 and it's an experiment in that he got these less fancy decks than his first iteration of Patreon, where people can pay monthly and cancel anytime if decks are delayed.

I feel this new patreon reward system is a nice idea, the decks look cool from the preview email that was just sent yesterday. I have been a fan of book bindings for a while and it's something I also use to get inspiration for our tuck boxes. I am very tempted to subscribe, just for this special edition. It is basically a deck a month, shipped, not a bad price for a deluxe limited product, in my view. I feel that the fact that old patrons are waiting for their old rewards is surely a problem, but hope that Lotrek can work through the queue and maybe this new system is also helping him do that. Just my 2 cents.

I think a lot of my thoughts have already been captured here. It's really hard to see the value in the new structure and it feels like a complete departure from the Lotrek that people enjoy (lots of foil, experimentation etc.). I also have no idea how he is going to be able to juggle this with such a huge backlog already.
I have to wonder if this income stream is almost a requirement to complete the work that was previously paid for.
It will be interesting to see how many people stay in the higher tiers and not just jump down to keep an eye on things.

I'd be concerned if he was doing multi-foil decks but its a single foil deck with metallic ink. Lotrek could probably do that in his sleep. He's opting for a layup to rebuild his reputation.

It could be the least fancy deck Lotrek has ever made since his time as half moon.

But thats the thing I dont spend money on Lotrek decks to get not fancy. (or really anyone else's decks any more)
I signed up but thats a LOT of money for a pretty standard deck.
