It's definitely missing something on the side towards the center of the card edges... overall though, a nice looking card back.

After reading everyone's feedback on the back design, I went back and I went back and tried to accommodate for everyone's needs. Here is the updated design WITH corner designers for flourishes and filled the negative space on the sides. Let me know how you guys feel about this. The initial design in there but with your help I gave you what you wanted.

I'm not so sure about those corner ornaments. Couldn't you just slightly extend the lines going towards the corners?

Lucent Playing Cards will hit Kickstarter this Saturday at 11am Eastern time! Be sure to make your purchases early to get the early bird discounts!
I'm really looking forward to this one guys. Hopefully it will be successful. This print run: limited 2,500 decks, Bicycle branded, $8 per deck (more decks you buy the more you save) and international buyers will love the rewards dedicated to them!

Going over my rewards and goal requirements for Lucent! Here is what I can say:

Goal: $12,000
Price per deck: $8
Bicycle Branded: Yes
Special Rewards just for international buyers: Yes
Will my previous deck Galvanic be in with one of the rewards: Yes

If goal is exceeded: Tuck case will be embossed, metallic ink will be applied to the court cards and a custom seal will be placed on every deck.

What other ideas would you like to see if the goal is exceeded? Let me know and I'll make it happen.

Hey Sean, I am sure you will do well with this deck. I think you did well to go in this direction rather than a V2 of Galvanic. In addition, the way you handled your last deck was one of the better kickstarter experiences I have had

Anybody who has yet to deal with Sean should have 100% confidence in doing so.

Walrus, honestly thank you so much for that comment. During the shipping process for the Galvanics it was only me and my girlfriend fulfilling all of those order. We will be doing the same thing this time around. However, we learned from the first time, we know what we could do better and we have a routine down! So for the Lucents it will be an easier, faster process. Thank you again Walrus and I will provide the same great service for this project.

I really like how this deck developed, I am very confident you will have no trouble whatsoever getting funded for this deck. If I was you, I'd already start planning on cool stretch goals since you're likely to hit those as well.

As for the box, I think one of the most key pieces of real estate that's often neglected is the top flap that tucks into the box. Please do not waste it with trademark/copyright info, that's too boring. You have a beautiful design with a cool color, incorporate those elements into the top flap. I would direct your attention to the Seasons decks as examples of great jobs done on the flaps. You might also want to consider putting some of the cool purple design elements on the sides of the box so you have a little more color on a predominantly white box. Great job so far!

Thank you alric for that! Unfortunately because it is a Bicycle branded deck, that top flap needs to stay that way due to legal issues. I tried on the Galvanic deck but they wouldn't allow me.
I do have stretched goals in mind: tuck case embossing, custom seals and metallic ink. What else would you guys like to see?

I'd focus on embossed & foiled tuck boxes. I think custom brick boxes are always well received, and instead of the usual 12 deck custom brick box, maybe you could come up with a 6 deck custom brick box as well. An upgrade to casino-grade Bee stock would be great if the decks don't have that as the default stock.

My preferences for stretch goals, in order of importance:

- Better stock
- Metallic ink
- Tuck box improvements
- Custom brick boxes (in smaller sizes than 12 if possible)

Looks like the Kickstarter launch will have to be delayed until further notice : / I am still waiting on approval from the Kickstarter team. it didn't take this long for the Galvanic project. If i get word by tomorrow morning with approval then it will be an 11am Eastern launch. If not, it will be delayed for a few days.

Its official: Lucent Playing Cards will go live on Kickstarter tonight at 7PM Eastern Time! Early bird specials will be available for those who pre-order first! Spread the word!

I do apologize for the wait though. It took a little longer for Kickstarter to approve for some reason. But everything is on track now!

I'm really looking forward to this deck. I worked very hard on this project and cannot wait to see the outcome.
