Used to collect Kamen Rider S.H Figuarts and miniature S.I.C - Blade, Ryuki and W mostly. Those were the ones with the best plots. Was planning to collect Godzilla S.H. Monsterarts, but man those are pricey.

Seriously guys, if you want action figure quality, look up S.H. Figuarts.

Action figures where among the first things I started collecting back in my teens. I have large boxes with opened and unopened stuff from all walks of life. Collect figures from a little bit of everything: anime, video games, comics, tv shows, films, etc. I just don't have the room to display them all. :)

Here's a quick shot of of the current stuff out for display in the bookshelf and desk.

Just found this thread.

I was a huge comic book fan back in the day and still have most of my comics stored away. I read mostly Marvel, and later Image, but am fairly familiar with a lot of DC and Dark Horse.

We actually have the license to do a Watchmen deck. I think we'll be releasing that sometime next year.

Very nice! Think you can nab a Vertigo license? (V for Vendetta, American Vampire) Or a Batman, Harley Quinn?

We tend to only try for things we have a pretty deep knowledge of. Unfortunately, I never read Vertigo although I know it was very popular.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My excitement level just skyrocketed. I think it's through the roof. Oh, I think it's landed on Mars. No wait, it's flown away with Dr. Manhattan and it'll never be seen again.

I hope it's dark and gritty, and not light-hearted like the other decks you've done. Seriously, I hope you don't botch it up... ^^

I really liked the movie, even if a lot of critics and regular movie-goers didn't like it. It's like Godzilla '98, only... I hate Godzilla '98, and I love the Watchmen movie lol. The comic was amazing, though really heavy on the reading, which I'm not used to in a comic.

Yep, a Watchmen deck would be awesome! Probably better to do it sooner than later, so that people still remember the movie (people = general public).

+1 for dark and gritty, bright and upbeat does not work with Watchmen.

It will be based on the movie IP. I can't imagine finding anyone that is really into Watchmen that would want to do this in anything but dark and gritty so that shouldn't be a problem.

Awesome. Just no images of gigantic glowing blue penises please. ;) That was one of the only downsides to watching it in IMAX

Couldn't be a better fit other than maybe Ron Perlman IMO.

So I was down at the LCS this weekend with the nephews and came across this beauty. I already had a copy I picked up years ago, but they were offering this one at a great price and even cut a few more bucks off since I added some more titles to my pull list and started one for my nephew too. I'll be submitting this one to CGC for an official grading but I'd say it's a 9 at least if not closer to 9.4 or 9.6 even. Colors are very bright. Corners incredibly sharp and there's no creases along the binding.

Those in the know, know what a great piece this is. Those that don't, what's wrong with you? ;)

Nice. We had a comic con this weekend in Austin and I had a chance to meet Whilce Portacio. Ended up buying an original piece of art and having my first appearance of Bishop signed.

Think I'm going to hijack this thread. Yup, everybody stay in their seats, this is a hijacking!

New piece I received today. Original art used in 2000 AD by Boo Cook of Judge Dredd. On the back there's a very rough sketch of an idea for an Elephantmen cover.

Cool! I liked the latest movie, it was like "The Raid - 2000 AD" lol.
Hope there's a sequel - I have a lot of time for Karl Urban. (Shame Almost Human tanked - i quite liked it)

Just dropped the wife off at the airport.
She is heading to San Diego for the Comic-con.

So very glad to not be going with her...
I did however send a copy of "The Mighty Magnor " with her together signed by Sergio Argones.

There are a couple exciting trailers coming to the con and one or two movie releases .
I let you all know her thoughts on them when she returns... And maybe share her Cosplay

Damn I'm jealous. Been wanting to go to SDCC for a long long time, like back when it actually focused on comics, but something always got in the way be it money or scheduling, or like the last year or two where everything could line up but I'm unable to get tickets. So Iill be settling for another year of looking at pics and online footage of everything I've missed yet again.

BTW - would your wife be interested in picking up an SDCC exclusive Walking Dead #129 from the Image Comics booth? I'd be happy to pay ya for it, plus shipping and a finders fee... Or maybe we could trade, I have a few decks I wouldn't mind letting go of for exclusive comics like the marvel original sin, deadpool & rocket raccoon variants... ;)

Also jealous about SDCC. I've never been able to secure tickets there.

We'll be at NYCC this year if any of you would like to come visit the booth and say hello (Booth #841)

As far as getting exclusive comics... she has been spending the last week working out her schedule for events so she has everything booked up tight, but I will send her a text and see if she can work something out.

Sweet, on both statements. Pam is one of my favorite characters (Krieger is the best). Can't eat a pastry without thinking, "Bearclaw!" While I shove it in my mouth.

They have decided to make another Sin City movie. The first was bad enough, why waste time and money on a second version.

I haven't watched Sin City before, but I've heard tons of rave reviews from friends. Are you sure it's bad?... According to popular critic AND public opinion...

Rotten Tomatoes: 78%
IMDB: 8.2/10

And Rotten Tomatoes critiques movies pretty well imo. I'm pretty sure because of these reviews they decided to make a 2nd movie... so the first cant be THAT bad.

It LOOKS good. On the face of it the characters are cool. But without the comicbook visual gimmick it's a poorly written, poorly directed, and poorly acted teenage fantasy.

A lot of my friends loved it, but I always hated it. As we've got older, more seem to agree with me!

Can't say I'll be going to see a Dame to Kill For.
