I love my Fulton Street tuck
But it is not dimpled like the one in this pic
Does anybody else have the deck?
Is your tuck dimpled? (Gandalf you are banned from answering that)

Did you try pinching the deck's cheeks?
(Don't ban me too.)

Shame if the tuck was advertised as textured but the end product was not. What does your tuck look like, Honeybee? Hsbc has photos of his deck in an earlier post and he has the smooth and matte tuck.

Thanks kev, I must be 'asleep' today - how did I not look at hsbc's pics before posting!
I have the smooth 1958 tuck like hsbc has pics of near the bottom of pg.1
Like I said, I do like the tuck a lot - I just wondered whether there were 2 varieties of it floating around out there

It is not hard to guess one of the decks that I am cataloging today.
I see P52 credits Brad as the artist of Fulton Street 1958
Shouldn't that be George Salmon?
The tuck box features the iconic graphic design for the NY Subway Map brochure done by George Salmon in 1958. It comes with a long black strip sticker seal that features the vintage signage of NYC Transit Authority.
The back design features the same artwork as featured on the tuckbox

Now that you mentioned it, yeah... it should be onto the creator of the graphic design work. What the "OG Designer" did is simply just mashing them up. So it's kinda more credit to the original graphic designer.

A) It's George Salomon and not Salmon. B) Credit doesn't matter in that case since he has nothing to do with the deck. If I remix Mozart, it's still not Mozart's work but it's mine.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

I did do a double take on that spelling but then thinking it was a Kardify quote assumed I was wrong

I can't really see how those backs and tucks are a remix Harvs, George deserves some/most credit
Crediting a remix of someone else's work could take us back to the AI debate

You guys get me wrong if you think I say Salomon doesn't deserve credit but he plain and simply isn't the designer of the deck, period. I come from another pov in that regard. I for example don't want my name dragged through the mud so that's why I don't say this deck is George Salomon's work. Calling him the designer of this deck is plain and simply wrong and objectively false. Words have meaning and facts are facts.

I agree that Brad is the designer but P52 has the category artist
I am not knowledgeable on what was happening with the NYTA in 1958 so I am not sure whether we are disagreeing on George being the artist altogether. George designed the map and signage but did he do the artwork for the front of the 1958 Map & Guide which is used for the card backs and tuck

Oh, I'd say we certainly agree that George is the creator of the original designwork for the MTA and I would certainly agree that he should be credited in Fulton's version. It's just that he isn't the designer or the artist of the deck. Brad by the way most certainly isn't either. Just like the Buck Twins, as far as I know, he doesn't actually design decks. I'd say publisher would be the correct term.
