I saw some images, and I don't like it at all!

I'll start my printing side of the "business" from this! Mini-prints made of silver/red foil! :ugking: Made by me without outsourcing.

Prints will be made to order (any card/artwork) and will be available on Kickstarter.

Sold. Still disappointed I ended up not backing the previous Hello Tiki decks, but I won't repeat that mistake!

Ok. I am not ready to launch this weekend. Most likely, next week.

I can now make two-color foil prototypes to test ideas  Registration is off, but it's just a mockup

I wasn't a big fan of the other Tiki back designs personally but this one is unreal! I love it! I can't wait

These designs look phenomenal! Back design reminds me a bit of the Uusi Bohemia decks. Can’t wait for this to launch!

It's a problem as I have at least five good back designs, so I need some drastic actions :D

SO TRUE :ugthink: Expect a major shakeup  It's hard to explain, but I finally know what to do.

Yes, very funny and very true. I thought the same thing when I read this, too:

But I will be there in September ( ) when this campaign goes live. Looking awesome!

Today I confirmed all FOUR back designs. :ugdance: I am not sure about gilding, but most likely, it will be silver only.

I'll post other backs later. I had to trash the red back as the most boring out of all variants. But at the same time there will be a red deck with red foil on courts...

I believe Ondrej Psenicka was using someone in France for gilding his latest Butterfly decks. Seems like they had issues with black, but it may be worth the ask.

It's a service provided by Cartamundi. They found one gilder and guarantee quality. But for now, they offer silver, gold, rose gold, and holographic gilding only. They are trying to find another company now to offer more colors.

Ok. Next version, and something new from me  All back designs are different but in the same style.

2. It's a "craft/retro" edition with slightly off white courts. And again - I am not sure about gilding. If I offer it, there will be a non-gilded version of all decks.

p.s. all back designs will also be available as prints (A6-A3)!

I like the contrast that the blue adds on #2. Those colors really pop!

3. Red Edition (LIMITED to 500-750 decks (TBC), Kickstarter and montenzi.nz exclusive)

Most likely, this edition will be the only out of three printed with foil on both sides. It makes sense as I am going to use full bleed red foil on courts.

There is no reason for using foil on courts on the White and Retro editions!

And yes, I have four back designs. The fourth back is a slightly modified original (find in the first post), but there is no room in this campaign anymore  I may print it later at USPCC.

All decks will be printed by Cartamundi so it's EU/UK/AU friendly campaign.

Changes? Tweaks? Possible!

I have already missed the August deadline, so decks should be submitted by Sep/23 and printed by Nov/9.

I tell you what was wrong - red gilding. I designed backs to use red. But then I had to redesign all backs to use silver. At the same time, new back designs are much better

It's my first campaign where I designed backs to use as prints. I always wanted to try, so it's a chance as I believe that this market is much bigger than playing card collecting. For the same reason, I'll keep Hello Tiki series as it's NZ's local.

Personally I like the back of design 2 the best. It’s a pity you can’t do red gilding - it would look amazing. You probably can if u send it to the US to be gilded by the same company that does UPSCC (and Kings Wild) decks. But the logistics would probably be tough.

Looking forward to the KS campaign.

How confident are you? If I don't get my decks by year's end do I get them for free?

I do not care when I receive my cards, as long as I recieve them. montenzi decks are worth the wait, just like Lotrek decks. The only difference is montenzi is still in denial about the length of time between deck conception and delivery. ;)

Looks to be my favorite of the Tiki series so far. I have some New Zealander neighbors and gifted them a deck (we sometimes play board games together). They loved it! I'll order a few extra this time.

Lol  Ok. Why do I know? Cartamundi had this procedure in the past when I printed other decks. They print custom decks once per month and need 1-1.5 months to finish. That's why they have a deadline. I tried to negotiate a week extension but failed. It's a good sign! I was told that decks are in production the next day after a deadline! Planning is key. Nov/2019-Jan 2020 downtime was an exception due to Covid/reorganization. BTW, they accepted No.7 on Feb/12 and finished in March as promised.

The current status: "Coming soon" I'll launch when I am ready as I have time to finish my KS by Sep/03.

I already know that the white deck will be more popular. But if I were forced to buy one deck only, I would have ordered the "retro" edition. I designed this back with some ideas about V4, and I really like this style. I am very happy with all four designs, to be honest!

Thanks! BTW, this time shipping will be flat rate ($4-5) or even free for NZ backers.

I'll try to reveal boxes this weekend. This box is a release candidate for the "Retro" edition.

What to expect: two premium decks with foil on backs + two gilded of the same (four boxes). Fifth deck (Red edition of 500-750 decks) will only be available in the gilded version from the start.

I'll be using No7 style boxes with cold foil and matte finish. Love them!

That last render is absolutely gorgeous. Something about it I find very dramatic. 8-)
Suggestion, desktop wallpaper size that with the KS launch date on it in the upper left corner.
(Disclaimer - This suggestion is selfishly driven. So I can get a bigger version for my own desktop background.) :D
