Thanks mate! Yeah we spotted that once someone mentioned the text.

New idea is below, we thought to keep it simple. It may change though.

The newer standards are kinda okay but the brewer's ed, dunno. I mean banners are for carrying a message if there is no message a banner looses its purpose imo.

Agreed about the banners. But looking much better all ready!

Existential righteousness.

Having the week off while everyone's on coronavirus lockdown/end of the world panic has been a dream. Loads of progress made.

Better look at the Pale Gold Pilsner AoS and face cards.

Stay safe, Like I said with Goi especially since you guys are in Europe buy food stay in isolation for a while the disease has been announced to have 2 stages so far. Also the decks look rad.

I like the pips, but since this is a beer themes deck, I was expecting you to explore the beer foam (head or collar) and integrate it in the pips..

I know the AoS should be black, but that Pale Gold Pilsner is screaming for some color...

That's something we went back and forth over for a while. It's tough as we're trying to use Pantone this time which means restricting the colour palette, but seeing as the beer colours are already included in said palette it's more about finding a balance in the image without betraying the classic black of the Ace.

Working on a little idea now, will update this post in a minute. I'd love for people to let us know their thoughts on what they prefer.

EDIT - Make sure to open these up and zoom in to get the full feel. I like having the beer coloured. I'm not convinced about the balance. Let me know everyone!

Definitely color the beers in the AoS, that little pop of color is a huge improvement.

Guess that settles it... although Ale prefers the old one.

Perhaps we can include both variants instead of having an ad card :)

+1 for B/W

This is a good solution. I often find the ad cards to be useless anyway.

Awesome!

Well, since everyone's here and I like collaborating with you guys on the details, I'd like your advice on a conversation that came up with the printing house.

The Brewer's Reserve is basically for you guys - collectors.

We're choosing textured cards this time for all the tucks. This enables us to have a nice feel to the boxes and a subtle pattern without extra embossing. I haven't really seen this done to any great extent so I'm really excited about it and the first example of it will be with The Green Man.

However this theme lends us to some really nice options, and we came across a wood-textured card that is reminiscent of the barrels used for maturation that we think could be perfect. Currently the deck is black, but there's also a gorgeous dark brown and now I'm dreaming of copper and dark brown :) Would love to hear your thoughts.

Aside from agreeing with every potential that the AoS has, dark brown for the WIN for the reserved edition!!

Did anyone else notice that the artist's (Alessandra) nickname is Ale and even though it is probably pronounced 'Ah-leh' or something like that, its spelled ALE, which as we all know is a type of beer. Quite a coincidence, but very appropriate.

Very much looking forward to this deck! :ugdance:

I did and thought 'Ale working on a beer deck sounds odd'.

What? Ale working on a beer deck seems odd? If anything it's divinely mandated. Best beer deck so far. 100% yes to both coloured Aces and the Dark Brown texture!

Damn, man. Every new deck you and Ale are doing such great new things and this is only your 3rd deck.

It's true  so Ale as a name is produced 'All-eh' but then so is 'ale' the beer here because they italicise the English word. So Pale Ale is called 'Pally Ally'. Basically :D

Some new mockups from today as we get close to the end of Green Man production and towards H&B.

Tomorrow we're off to the printers to check on what should be the final Green Man box. It's currently going through its fourth printing cycle as it has three layers of foil. If anyone's interested we'll be sending a nice newsletter out with photos and video - you can sign up at our site.

In the meantime, here's some new shots. Need to get one of the final black back design...
