Possible, but wouldn't it be smarter to lure customers, with a chase item like this, into their lower turnover stores?

The card collecting community is so small I don't think that the distribution of these is probably given much thought by target.

Also, with the nature of a chase item, the people chasing them are going to go to the stores in their area regardless of whether the specific store ever gets one or not. So the chase item has already fulfilled its purpose. So putting them in high or low volume stores doesn't really matter.

Also, when a collector goes to the store seeking out the item, I don't think they are going to purchase much, if anything else, anyway. I went to 4 targets in one night. I did not purchase anything. It was a quick in and out. Unless I had happened to need anything else, I wouldn't have bought anything else whether the store had the deck or not. I certainly wouldn't have bought something at each store.

I think this benefits a company like t11 getting them into the stores and getting target to purchase the cases or variety packs much more than it benefits Target. Target offering a sale on diapers or milk probably brings them more revenue than these decks ever will.

Belated Merry Christmas to me  ...

earlier this morning I was at customs to pick up a parcel from their stranglehold. I was surprised (because I'm expecting another parcel from the U.S. as well) to see a bubble wrapper inside, with more bubble wrap inside hidding a Gold Artisan in a Carat DS1 sleeve :D .
Thanks to the most generous rfogle17, I didn't even had to lie to the customs guy that it is a gift. Since rfogle17 was lucky enough to pick up three Gold Artisans from Targets in his area, he offered to help out an European fellow and gifted it to me. He even refused my offer to pay at least for the shipping costs. Thank you so much.

LOL... Target barcode. The ones that people got during the $150 order bonus period directly from TXI don't have it but the Target ones yah.
I don't mind it though since I remove the cello anyways.

I was lucky enough to come across a Gold Artisan a few weeks ago, but it took 15 Targets and about 200 miles to find it. That being said, there are about 1800 Targets in the US, and with multiple decks showing up at Targets, I would guess there are at least 5000 GAs minimum. Definitely not a rare deck, but still it was fun hunting it down, but I wouldnt pick one of these up off Ebay unless it was $10 + Shipping.

The same Target that had virtually nothing at all before suddenly stocks several T11 decks, including a single Gold Artisans. No idea what's up with that but it's a nice find.

My working theory is that Target has no control over where/when a GA is showing up, but that Theory11 is salting their deck shipments with GAs. So when a store re-orders a box of 36 decks, a GA is being tossed into the box, meaning you have a better chance of finding one at a newly stocked store.

I went climbing this weekend to a gym about 30 minutes from me. I don't make it down to this area very much. I figured I would stop in at Target and see if the had a deck and get some energy bars.

There was no cardboard display like every other Target I have been to. They had some decks stacked up in a really skinny shelf, about 5 decks laying down tall. I went through the stacks and no Gold artisans. At the very back of the shelf I spotted an open deck and a stack of 3 more.

I found another Gold Artisan. My second find and will be going to my son. Keep looking, they are still out there.

If I find one I'll hit you up probably just need you to pay base price and shipping tho.

I recently went to a few Targets and a few of them say that they'll be discontinuing the stocking of Tx11 cards. Idk if they will but just a heads up.

Anyone else who can find extra GA and willing to sell to a fellow UC member? Also willing to pay a bit more for time and effort needed to hunt them down. Please PM. Thanks.

I happed to be in the local Target the other day, and I took a gander at the T11 display, and guess what I found.

Yup. These are still popping up in the T11 displays when they crack open a new case of cards.

So, next time you swing by the big bullseye, take a look. You might find some gold in them thar hills.

Edit: incidentally, the seal on the deck I bought says "Edition: 2021."

I did get a giggle from “actual gold foil” :)

Not just rare but, "Artisan Gold Edition playing cards are the rarest of the rare"!

Only for 24 hrs and at $14.95.

Anyone bought 1 at Target recently? I'm curious what's it selling now: $12.95 or already at the present $14.95 price?
