Oh, it will happen. Bocopo's will tear vertically, though. Completely different. And it will be called "These Are Cards"

Personally, I'll admit that I'm not particularly a fan of minimalism or minimalistic design in general but this is such a mockery of it that E's gotta be trollin' with this bs deck...

I'm with bacon; this is insulting to anyone and everyone that is passionate about playing cards regardless of where specific interests in the hobby lie as either a cardist, magician, player and/or collector. I'm actually so offended, I'll likely directly write back to E expressing such disappointment as bacon has (if y'all haven't been paying attention, he's actually quite wise lol [BACON] :D :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: )

RIP Ellusionist

Coming from a dude that loves some decks that are considered trash in here - I don't get how anyone can still be subscribed to an ellusionist news letter or even react to something that comes from E! and their marketing. I get that some people, which love Artifice and the old school stuff, give them nostalgia credit, but these days are long gone and not just since this "deck of cards".
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

I thought they might have redeemed themselves with the 1900 deck, but then they hit us with this pretentious crap. Hoped it wouldn't happen, but here it is. Horrible attempt at trolling the market by using the old adage, "there's no such thing as bad publicity." I will always look back fondly at my Ghost, Artifice, Arcane, Shadowmasters, Sultan and Prohibition decks and remember what real art looked like. I am now unsubscribed from those insulting emails, and have un-bookmarked the site. Other companies take note: is this what you want to become? No? Good... make sure you don't. Smug arrogance, a blatant disregard and obvious distaste for it's target market along with substandard design has ruined my opinion of them. And to think, I was a black club member. RIP Ellusionist. Sad thing is, this will most likely sell pretty well because cardistry fanboys and those that buy hype decks will buy absolutely anything.

It's not tied to a famous cardist or anything like that, so I don't see why they would.

I'm surprised the annointed one (DM) didn't come up with these first.

Part of me actually wonders if E's trying to see if they can still sell decks without DM. As for DM, I' believe he's too busy sorting out the mess he made with his long delayed decks. It seems he's still shipping them out with extra deck/s as an apology to those who didn't complain.

Now I’m almost tempted to review it just so I can have a click bait title “the worst deck I’ve ever reviewed”

I would love to see that :D , but only if you could manage to get this deck for free, since every penny earned through this deck is one penny too much...
Here is the storyboard:
- 10 sec intro with a black screen with "THIS IS A REVIEW" title
- 5 sec opening it and dropping the deck
- 9 min 45 sec (to get the 10 min mark) black screen "THIS WAS A REVIEW" with white noise.

The greatest line in mediocre playing card history "...a necessity for collectors" Come again? I'm not sure, but I think they've misspelled "...a pile of **** for collectors". Why would a collector need a seal that once opened will destroy the deck? I have serious doubts this deck will appreciate in value. Ever. Who or what was this seal intended for I wonder? If you collect and don't open your decks, it makes no sense. If you collect and do open your decks, it makes no sense. If you don't collect but use your decks, it makes no sense.

It's not just E though. A lot of guys are putting out run of the mill decks. I absolutely loathe companies that build a fanbase and think they can release sub-par products knowing it will still be profitable because enough people will buy it regardless.

There are still some that are pushing the limits, trying new things, and really going for it. They're becoming a minority in the custom card business, unfortunately.
Yes, I am Lorenzo's first patron. What? You're so naive. Of course that gives me superpowers.

Not a full review, but a 2 minute take would be just nice. Love to see how Omar will do a totally negative review! :ugthink:
