It's actually black, but the person taking the photo was wearing a red shirt and it reflected in the carat case.

Sorry to disappoint!

I received from Gio a few days ago and am pretty damn chuffed with them, especially the Pantheon Caelum, which is the one I initially enquired about after seeing it in his Instagram posts.

After seeing the Cartes Indiennes deck in a PipChick Instagram live some time ago, I set out to own my own deck. After finding the reproduction for a pretty reasonable amount in April, I managed to bag the original last month and it only cost me an arm and two legs; it is in incredible condition, though:

… and is arguably better than the reproduction:

Reproduction? More like an attempted remaster

Thanks for all the pics! :D

Before the Cartes Indiennes deck appeared on eBay, this deck pinged the "B.P.Grimaud" radar and was listed as unopened, so I bought it … and then opened it.

Fun fact: I get the very occasional (i.e. about once a month) muscle spasm. On an unrelated note, guess what happened as I was trying to cut the tape in a straight line (below)?

Very nice - congrats, both on the finds and on your ability to open sealed decks :)

I have a half dozen decks I wish I could work up the courage to pop…

I was the same; I even sold* my Golden Oath back to the original seller because I couldn't bear to open it and it felt wrong to keep it without doing so.

The way I see it now though is that I'm happy to open any deck that I intend to keep because the value means nothing if I never intend to sell. I have a trade list for everything I want to get rid of and everything else will get opened when I get round to it.

* well, traded for a House of the Riding Spade Cartomancer v1 uncut sheet

I bought these from Etsy; I'm a sucker for decks with the number/letter in place of the pips, and this has both. They were a bit steep at £15 but *shrug*.

This was my Christmas present to myself. The box has seen better days, but the cards are in good shape (if you ignore the dodgy cutting on the joker).

Very nice. It is hard to go wrong with a Louis XV deck. So nice. I also really like your Bona Fide collection. I am only missing the first edition's limited decks, but have a nice set of the remaining decks and the standard first issue. I wish Karen would put out something again She is so gifted and such a nice person.

Agreed. Her site has been "under maintenance" for such a long time I'm beginning to wonder if it will come back at all.

I went pretty whole hog on the Shiki campaign, but topped out and didn’t manage to score the silvers

An obvious error on my part - should have taken a night job :)

The Literary Tarot deck finally arrived and it is sooooo nice!

These photos spectacularly fail to capture how much gold there is on this deck — anything that looks yellow is actually gold:

The Classic of Mountains & Rivers v2 by Kingstar.

[Trigger warning] Apologies for the non-consistent order of the court cards; I didn't realise what my friend had done until I was checking the photos just now.

*eye twitch*

Also, she missed a suit.

Wow, I really like the Grey Fox cards, I have some King Star, but don't like just any of them. These are really nice, will have to find a deck.

I opened my Varius Teal deck today:
Thanks Timmargh, your Varius pics look so much better than those that suppliers are providing online.
I am assuming they look that good in hand in natural light.

Oh yeah, especially when you catch the reflection. Lovely cards.
