Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Comparison of Three Versions of Patrons by Oath Playing Cards
Tuck Case:
The Redemption VI tuck case features a red design with a foiled finish that adds a striking shine, which I personally find very appealing. In contrast, the back design of the White Patrons features a different approach, giving the overall aesthetic a distinct flair.
Back Design:
The core back design is consistent across all three versions. However, there are notable differences in the background color. The Black & White Patrons have a red background, while the Redemption VI features a black background. In my opinion, the red background enhances the overall appearance, as the foiling appears more vibrant against it.
Stock:
The Black Patrons edition stands out with its black stock, which I find the most visually striking. The stock feels similar to that of the Golden Oath but offers slightly improved handling. The White Patrons stock is exceptionally smooth and spongy, making it the best in terms of handling. It feels incredibly pleasant to hold. The Redemption VI stock is similar to the White Patrons, but it has a more pronounced bend to it.
Foiling, Pips, and Indices:
Redemption VI has the least amount of foiling on the front design compared to the other two versions. It only features border foiling, as well as foiling on the two side sections, which create a pattern when the cards are spread. While the silver foil looks nice, it falls short when compared to the other two versions. Additionally, the pips and indices are not foiled, and the jokers are printed with ink (no foil). The Ace of Spades and other aces also use ink only.
The White Patrons use gold foil instead of silver, which adds a more luxurious look. In this version, the Ace of Spades, other aces, pips, indices, and borders all feature gold foil, enhancing its overall visual appeal. The jokers also feature foil detailing.
For me, the Black Patrons are the standout version. This edition forgoes ink on the black pips, opting instead for foiled outlines. Gold foil is used throughout the design, covering the pips, indices, Ace of Spades, other aces, and borders. Even the jokers’ design is foiled, and the Oath logo on the Joker card is also rendered in gold foil, adding a premium touch.
Conclusion:
All three versions are visually stunning, but based on my assessment, here’s how I would rank them:
1st Black Patrons
2nd White Patrons
3rd Redemption VI
I'm particularly pleased that the Black Patrons was chosen as the first-year reward, as I believe it’s the best version among the three. It’s a deserving choice for Patrons who truly appreciate quality. I’m already excited about the upcoming Teal Patrons edition!

The backs don't do anything for me, I have found the Fragmenta back the most interesting for a while but not a must have. IMO it is time for Lotrek to do something completely different - more around a topic/theme in the Half Moon style (Then again he should complete all his commitments first)

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Interesting ,Im hearing some other people saying too that Lotrek needs to do something new . But Qalif , Patrons and Golden Rule are new I believe . There is also Sanctissimus Players Edition out so I dont know if that will be considered new or not when it comes out. What I can say is earlier Lotrek used to release different backs in a shorter amount of time , now it takes a long time.Hoping Codex doesnt get delayedHoneybee wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 7:33 pm The backs don't do anything for me, I have found the Fragmenta back the most interesting for a while but not a must have. I have both the test print and the Redemption print. I'm interested in seeing whether the final versions justify me buying one on eBay.

I'm also curious about the white "error" deck. Other than some flaws, did it differ from the final white deck in any way?felicityk wrote: ↑Mon May 19, 2025 8:06 amThank you for this. Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
I've gone through (well searched anyway) most of this thread and Kevork's thread and for the life of me I cannot figure out what I am owed for the Patreon decks after year 1. Any helpful soul can post me to a post that details it? I mean if I'm not gonna receive my decks until at least 5 years have passed, at least I can look at the words on a screen and have some wishful thinking.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Sorry, I should have clarified, as even in Kevork's post he doesn't have all the details. The below is what is posted there. No idea if this is even still "true" and of course since I am no longer a Patron I don't get any updates on changes.
Still nothing listed for Year 4 and no idea if years 2/3 have changed or not. Yeah I know, he's busy and last time I posted something he cross-posted it to his Patreon and called me out on it but I guess I'm taking a chance again that he'll send the hordes after me.
I can see that some posts have been made about things like Golden Rule Silk but I have no idea if that relates to year 2 rewards since, surprise, nothing has been communicated in some time.
I mean it's not like I spent thousands of dollars or anything. Oh wait.
I know I'm asking for a lot to have an idea of what to expect some 4 years after things were first paid for, but I guess I'm just that demanding and have high standards. Sort of like Lotrek. I guess.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
My list is up-to-date. We do not have confirmed information about Year 4 & 5 rewards.
Golden Rule Silk edition was a recent Patreon release. Lotrek has clarified that any deck you pay for on the site isn't part of the Patreon rewards.

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
We do not have the final white patrons deck yet. After people complained about the foil sticking to the art and some various issues with the initial printing, Lotrek stated he would reprint the deck. Arrival TBD. I highly recommend securing a Black Patrons copy that was included in the Year 1 rewards as a replacement to the initially planned white version. The registration, handling, and presentation overall is perfect. I would love a version without red on the backs to match the aesthetic of the Redemption VI version of the patrons printing.
To add to the comments around forthcoming deck rewards, I'll ask Lotrek about it. Particularly, we haven't seen any pictures of Royal Patrons (which I assume is foil front and back), and will the Mystery III Special Edition for Year 3 be a variation of Qalif, or the new yet-to-be-released Mystery III deck?
EDIT: Royal Patrons will be an all-foiled deck similar to Golden Oath! Mystery III Special Edition will be a silver foiled variant for the yet-to-be-released deck.

Mystery III updateProduction progress
Hi all
I'm in the extremely happy position to announce that the MYSTERY III TEST print is finished.
Extremely happy because the result is amazing! Not technically, (I have already explained what the issues were and why I would have to reprint it) but visually. I mean... It's definitely going to be the most impressive hot foiled deck you've ever seen. Also, extremely happy because now I know what exactly I have to do in order to achieve the best possible result. Judging by the time we needed to complete the TEST print, I can also risk to predict that the official edition will be ready by the end of June.
The TEST print will became available as soon as we are ready to ship the official edition. Right now it is resting quietly waiting for its sibling to be born!
I have carefully studied the print and decided some minor changes that need to be done in the artwork. The print of the official edition will begin next week.
Hang on there!
Thank you so much,
Lotrek

Seeing as they're now popping up on eBay from the EU, here's an initial view of the various tucks for Golden Rule. From left to right, you have the Golden Rule Patreon Test Print (1/280), Golden Rule Silk Edition (1/280), and the Golden Rule Players edition (1/900)

Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
The test print has foiling on the faces but Silk Rule doesn't. Also the courts on Silk Rule are much darker - in the way the courts on Mystery III craft edition are dark. You can't tell from this pic but its very noticeable in person. Thats a curious choice considering the price difference between the two decks. A bit disappointing if you ask me. The backs look awesome though!

that’s disappointing, was fully expecting the deck that was twice the price would have foiling on the courts and pips as wellKGthePrince wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 4:40 pm The test print has foiling on the faces but Silk Rule doesn't. Re: OATH'S PATREON -details
Firstly, I finally get to hold a version of my profile picture in my hands! (See KG's photo above)
I'm really impressed with the Golden Rule Patreon Test edition and love that he even made the tuck note that it's a test edition. I was expecting a Fragmenta test print tuck so it was a nice surprise. I do agree with his criticisms that the foil is too brilliant (genuinely blinding!), and the blue on the backs is too light. The very very mild issue with the borders on some cards due to faulty plates can easily be overlooked but now he can fix these for the final version. I'm excited for those. I genuinely wonder why he didn't make these a Redemption deck as they fit his original intention for the Redemption series, but nevertheless I'm very satisfied.
Also, I guess I'm in the minority regarding Golden Rule Silk Edition, as I had seen the CMYK Ace of Spades in his post and thus assumed the courts would not be foiled. I went back on Patreon to look and I suppose "gold foil on the fronts" can be misleading or misinterpreted. I'm a huge fan of the blue backs on these.
When it comes to the darkness on Golden Rule Silk edition, it's akin to the Silk Rule gift decks he sent. It seems to me that the issue lies in the ink overlaid on top of a dark purple card stock. It's really hard to capture it on camera without proper lighting, but here's the cards that were sent with Patreon Year 1 rewards that were printed on white stock (on top) and Golden Rule Silk edition (on bottom) to compare. The background in person has a slight bluish tinge to it.
