Based on your photos, this is one of the sharpest, most interesting decks to me that Lotrek has done. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on one at some point.

Great pictures indeed. I'm still on the fence about calling Qalif a great deck though. It kinda enters the realm of too much for me 🤔...
Any shipping updates on fragmenta? I'm too out of the loop to stay on top of Lotrék's schedule, haha.

Lotrék did mention on discord yesterday that “Fragmenta goes out today” but that could’ve also been an April’s fools joke considering it was April 1st yesterday.

Not sure if any have received shipping notifications.

Excited for this one… Looks pretty unique and all.
I could only image the die cutting must have been a pain for this deck.

Cheers,
KW

He also just sent an email!
Lotrek wrote: Hi all, just a quick note (and an apology) regarding shipping of FRAGMENTA:

Due to a series of setbacks that were completely out of our control, ALL packages will go out on Monday. This was supposed to happen 10 days ago but as usual, even when everything is ready, the universe conspires so that Lotrek will be true to his promise.

In case you are curious:

1) We changed packaging materials (you'll notice that soon) and the new materials were delayed due to Greek national holiday on the 25th of March

2) Our team of assistants for the packaging were not available the days we needed them

3) When we finally arranged for the packaging, my printer called me for the MYSTERY III print and I had to prioritize that or I would lose my turn for several days...

So, Monday!

Thank you so much,

Lotrek

Haha I am a patient man, and keep this mantra:
The deck will come when it decides to come

However when it started to take too long, like 3 months or so, then ill start to question

With all due love and grace to Lotrek, who I have been backing right from the start and who has been very kind in return, I will nonetheless confess that this is how I read his posts, and if you read his posts this way as well, it will save you much heartache:

"I will be shipping it later [today/this week/this month/this year" = It has not shipped yet.

"I have shipped it as of [date]" = It has shipped.

Likewise:

"There is only one more step to go and then it's done!" = It is not done yet.

"I have shipped it as of [date]" = It is done.

Until a deck is in the hands of the postal service and truly out of Lotrek's hands, it's not done yet.

This is not a complaint. It simply is.

Does anyone else likes Lotrek's Silver decks more than his Gold ones? Looking for to the Patrons Teal , two of my favourite colours used !

XD I second this, cuz Gold is just SO OVERRATED XD
Look at almost many gilded decks produced recently, and they all choose Gold for gilding XD

I prefer gold for gilding as it stays true to the original craft, although Lotrek's mirror finish with silver gilding like on his Moresque gilded is superb.

I too prefer the silver variations of his decks as they tend to add an additional contrast layer. Nothing beats the Japanese silver foil he used for Arabesque silver. The red Royal Silk gold/silver variant is another prime example of silver adding beautiful contrast to an already exquisite deck.

Patreon Year 1 has a redder tuck and it's embossed. Otherwise the cards are very similar.

Happy to report that after a long wait, I finally received my missing Redemption decks from Lotrek in the box with my Fragmenta order :D Pics of many many many cards soon -- right now the spot I usually use to take pictures is just full of decks, so there's some reorganizing to do...

I got my Black Patrons deck from Socal auction today . Its really beautiful , I would Black Patrons deserves to be a Patreon Membership deck rather than White Patrons one.Only thing I didnt like much is the backside of the tuck . I dont mean its bad but I believe a bit of modification could be done

Got my FRAGMENTA today! Both the FINAL and the TEST PRINT. I am surprised that the TEST PRINT doesn't come with any plastic at all, yet... good construction of the packaging (Lotrek construct a boxy styrofoam that protect the decks. When compared side by side, here are some noticable differences:
  • The colors, obviously! You can have both decks side by side, and you can easily notice the differences in colors, i.e. the backs, where it's blue on the FINAL, while it's somewhat purple on the TEST PRINT. You can notice some color differences on the faces, like some parts are white, some parts are gold, you get the idea.
  • The tuck box, another obvious thing: The TEST PRINT is just solid purplr tuck with muted gold ink, hand-numbering on the bottom - FINAL one, no need further introduction!
  • The Aces: For Ace of Clubs, Ace of Hearts, and Ace of Diamonds - their pips on the TEST PRINT only have half of the pattern inside, while on the FINAL, the patterns inside fully covered.
  • The Courts: Some Line Hatchings VS Cell-Shade - in the TEST PRINT, some of the Courts would have line hatches on their faces and some do not VS in the FINAL, all of the Courts have shadings on their faces and hands - A BETTER RENDERING!
  • Number of Cards: TEST PRINT has the standard 52 cards, 2 Jokers, and 1 Double Backer VS FINAL has the standard 52 cards, 2 Jokers, 1 Double Backer, 1 Color Change Backer (the fragment of Silk Players the changes color: turquoise/gold), 1 Ad Card, 1 Blank Face.
TMI
Since FRAGMENTA is made from 4 decks, I noticed that each suit is associated to certain deck:
  • SPADES - Moresque
  • DIAMONDS - Maestro
  • CLUBS - The Golden Rule
  • HEARTS - Silk Players

Ladies and gentlemen! Today, I want to show you something obtained from my trip in South East Asia! A piece of blue cloth, Indonesians called it “batik”. This is a part of their heritage, and that’s what makes it magical.
FRAGMENTA1.jpg
FRAGMENTA2.jpg

Let me demonstrate: here we have four decks, designed and printed by grandmaster Lotrek. Each of them is unique on its own: from the box to the cards.
FRAGMENTA3.jpg
FRAGMENTA4.jpg

When I cover these four decks with this special cloth, the magic imbued from this pattern… will start to merge these decks together. 4,3,2,1…
FRAGMENTA5.jpg
FRAGMENTA6.jpg
FRAGMENTA7.jpg
FRAGMENTA8.jpg

I slowly uncover this cloth and PRESTO! It becomes one special deck!

Just some silly idea for a magic trick haha

I think this thread has evolved into a catch-all for anything Lotrek. Wouldn't we all appreciate the decks like Fragmenta and Mystery Crafts, and Qalif more as standalone posts? (shrug emoji)

Does anyone who is a current patron know anything about the Year 2 status? I just saw the image for the Codex campaign and it looks lovely, but I keep scratching my head about Year 2. Thanks for any info!

Last update regarding Year 2 was March 14th and he mentioned he had to do another reprint on Golden Rule.

Tbh I prefer a single thread as I get all lotrek updates whenever I open this thread :D But thats just me maybe , different threads on different decks sounds like well organized and efficient approach.

I also personally like having this as a catch-all Lotrek thread, but anyone is always free to create a new thread for any deck that doesn't have one :ugthink:
