It's funny that since he's in Canada he could have brought them over and shipped to me from within Canada but he refused to because he didn't want to pay customs, instead he passes the buck.

Amused ?
One wonders why a fully rounded, non-vindictive and great human being such as Erik Mana could realise such a carry on.
Unless, of course, there has been such a gross amount of white anting, termite-ing and under-mining going on that, hell, one bars some two-handed ants from social media and tries to get on with life without the pustulence and toxicity.
Hilarious, I calls it. :ugdance:              :ugdance:

Did you notify Erik? I see someone else had the same issue as you and Erik said he was going to ask the fulfillment company to reverse the charges.

Yes I did and he said he was going to fix it and mentioned the one other person having the problem. They were supposed to go USPS and were even packaged in USPS boxes but the stupid fulfillment sent it UPS and didn't have the proper customs forms, I wasn't supposed to have been charged. Glad things are being taken care of.

@Victor (or any of the very few who got their decks so far...) - Do you think the tuck box will stand up to regular use? The Voltige deck has a similar cigarette style tuck box, albeit in a side tuck format, and the tuck starts to look pretty crappy after a while. The tucks may be pretty to look at when new, but I'm not overly optimistic about long term wear with these cigarette style tucks. Especially the back hinge. I have a feeling its going to be a pretty long time before I get my decks, so I just want to know what to expect when they eventually arrive.

The Sybil Tuck is tough, the flip top I think will take some usage, how much I cannot say, no top will take abuse, but this flip has some strength about it. And being flippers they need a different approach to opening.
Now, the cards (Mana !) are tight in there, I'm working to get 'em out, also get 'em back in, and there's no forcing 'em ..... So, they could loosen up with use/time, but tight they certainly are.
I'm a collector, so I'm never going to smack decks around, do you ?
I reckon these tucks have got the strength and resilience to last, and prob. last better than 'normal' tucks.
Last word.
Tight, people.

Gold, Platinum, don't know yet, and different tuck builder ( iirc ).

I'm curious as to how many orders were shipped via this errant method (UPS vs USPS, etc.). How many more of us will receive deliveries postage due down the line?

Hmmmm....

Everyone is using Gamblers Warehouse for fulfilment now. Mana isn't. This project has been a nightmare.

Will Erik eventually lose money? His perfect reputation is f*cked.

GW probably wasn't even around when Erik begain this project
All kidding aside, if you ask me his reputation was F'ed shortly after his fulfillment due date almost (over?) a year ago. Or at least his reputation for delivering a product. I'm sure we'll all be faced with the dilemma of a beautiful new Mana campaign in the future and whether or not to pledge or buy after-market. I for one would chose the later, assuming it funds that is...

Guys & gals, nobody is more freaked out about the mess than Erik. He's a great guy, and I admit that he could have / should have kept us in the loop more, but all I am certain that it is frustrating when you order a pair of decks each of 1000 serially numbered, and instead of showing up after all the mess he went through, they showed up in two separate totally randomly sequenced groups of boxes that he had to manually match x 1000 before he could even ship a pair.

Nobody feels worse, he's a true perfectionist and he could have shipped mismatched serials weeks ago, instead he made it work, matched every single pair to its 1 in 1000 mate, added certificates of authenticity including the 100 trio sets with holographic labels and hand dedication to each individual backer. I got my 24# box full of goodness today finally, and packed inside was nothing but perfection. In addition to my 1 in 100 master trio set were 16 matched pairs in old school pull out dual trays, 30 Carolina blue Lucida decks, coins, and a bitching nice winter hat done in his no BS best. I am a happy camper, and a couple of you might end up winning one of two of those matched pairs (out of 1000) in the UC2016 Decks of the Year contest.

There are a lot of "should have" "could have" "would have", but Erik's got my support 100%. The guys a genuine nice guy who had a nightmare "Perfect Storm" that just didn't want to end. Bad things happen to good people, it sucks, but do your best to look past just the project and judge the person. In the end its up to each individual do decide, but I've known Erik for a while now, we're not BFF's, but enough to know he had nothing but the best of intentions when this all went south.

For you backers, hang in there, No.3 is making its way out to you :)

As for the tucks and their flaps, I don't know how it will hold up, though I did notice they added an angled slit/cut along the back on either side to allow a little extra flexibility with the flap. At first I thought I had ripped it, but it wasn't the case. Though if not careful i'm sure those slits could easily cause some big rips.

Since I got a box of 30 of these decks, I pulled one out and opened it to use as my daily poker deck.

I'll report back about how it holds up after a few weeks and once in a while. It looks like it will be just fine, but time will tell.

Did you guys get shipping notices, or did your packages just show up? I figured I would get a shipping notice, but with the subpar fulfillment company, perhaps not.

Nope, nada until the beeg ol' box showed up at the post.

A quick check on ebay.com showsa few of these for sale from the British side, all in the $150-$179 price-range, which I think is a bit high, but if there are those of you that want to get a set of all three (I'll throw in a Sybil Livida "blue" unlimited deck) with each pair of dual presentation serially numbered and individually signed matching serial numbers for $80 including Priority Mail shipping. I have to add $20 to those of you overseas for Priority Mail International delivery. I suppose I could go flog them on ebay for $100 a pop, but it's just easier to handle members here directly (and yes, guilty of using the public area instead of listing it in "Buy/Sell'Trade"). Send me a PM if interested. The dual presentation set and extra deck fit will in the Small Flat Rate box for shipment, heavily protected with double bubble wrap, as always.

Same here but I am still holding on to hope.

I too will have a couple extra sets for anyone who didn't get them but I will post them in the Buy/Sell section when I get them.

Still nothing here :( I don't understand- did Erik just ship like 10 sets and call it quits?? Is anyone else getting these?

I believe that's what he said in his last update. Update #48 mentions only about 50 orders shipped as he works out the kinks for the rest.

this is actually my fear.
And it has been done before.
I know a lot of people have spoken highly of Erik, but this was the first campaign of his I backed and I have seen nothing but excuses so I don't hold him in such high regard.

I could be completely wrong and would like to be but this tactic has been used before.
Send out a small number of rewards to high profile people so that it appears that rewards are actually being delivered.
This will get the people off his back who have been sending the hate mail he keeps talking about (I may be upset by this whole campaign but I never see the reason for slinging bile at the creator, even in obvious scams)
He will have room to breath and can twiddle his thumbs for another month or two until people get mad again.

He may be hoping that things go the way of The Core deck. Where some of the rewards are shipped out and then he can fall off the map.

Again , Hopefully I am wrong. But the signs are right.

He still has the Buskers project after this one to finish so I would hope he's not having any of the thoughts you've described. Having backed his prior project, I do know he intends well and produces a great product. His management skills could use an overhaul though.
