Apparently, from the letter: there was an incident that someone from the company sell S17 proto decks illegally - on eBay, there are listings of three decks listed as “UNRELEASED”: HotRS Patronium Red, The Claw MINI, and Anthology.
PS: I want that Mini Deck aaaah, so as the Red HotRS now - hoping for leftovers sales happening.

So this open letter stating the transparency of the printer’s contract with S17, along with an investigation of who’s responsible for this scandal.

some of the concern outside S17 at least was not only resale but giveaways of yet to be released decks which they didn't really address.

Sure it could be the same, someone claiming to be acting on behalf of WJPC who was not in fact authorized to do so.
