English Playing Card Society's 2019 reprint of Karl Gerich's handmade 1996 "Beautiful Bath" playing cards, celebrating their 35th anniversary, limited to 150 packs. Karl made about 30 original packs, some in plain handmade boxes, some in boxes made to look like a slate roof house. The reproduction includes a special box of a Georgian style house you assemble from flat cutouts. The cards show French suited pips arranged as German suited cards with the pips grouped in the upper area of the cards. Diamonds show churches and chapels, clubs show parks and gardens, spades show buildings and streets, hearts illustrate bridges and property around water. Uncut sheets at WOPC.

GandalfPC shares his original Beautiful Bath cards here, and another thread about the reproduction here.

"A Striking Collection," fantasy artwork by Chet Phillips (chetart.com), 2020. Vintage poster style matchbook artwork, inspired by monster movies, Japanese Manga, science fiction, Stephen King, children's tales, and Monty Python.

The queen of clubs is a tribute to Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen." The 9 of spades conjures the Krampus, a half-goat, half-demon folklore creature who appears at Christmas to punish misbehaving children (yikes).

I'm not certain how many versions have been issued. I've seen three: This one - a numbered edition of 50 in a slip case, with 52 cards, 4 wild cards, 2 jokers, a title card, and a numbered edition card (the Patronus card). An identical set of 59 cards was issued (500?) but in a tuck box and without the Patronus card. A third set is currently on sale on his website with several cards swapped out for new ones. A discussion of the new cards and box starts here: viewtopic.php?p=263045#p263045

If any other collectors have been seduced by acetofive posting the Chet matchboxes, the place to get them for us non-Americans is rareplaying cards. The postage to Oz is good for 12 decks. Yes! That is how astray you led me A25. I have meant to get the matchboxes for some time now and then found a FEW more LOL. You will find that prices come down 15% maybe even 20% when you place them in your cart
