Probably sealed too early after gilding. Gilding and the wrapping foil melted together and as soon as you open it/remove the foil it'll chip.

Just to follow up on this with a happy ending, I reached out to Lorenzo, and he was able to find a replacement to send out. I am really surprised, and that is incredible customer service.

Picked up a pair because my Keymaster Tarot Ultimate had a big chip in the gilding without me even handling it. I couldn't do anything about it at the time but now I can!

I remeber there was a problem with the cello wrap; it got sticky on some decks and fussed with the gilding. I had that problem as well. Unwrapped my Ultimate and had gilding sticking to the cello. Thankfully Lorenzo replaced it shortly after the campaign.
