Gonna beat this dead horse one more time, but I really don’t feel like this is a nice thing: $300-$400 for a single deck of cards. They could give you a brick of the new cards and you still wouldn’t be getting anything for free.

Never seen those before, thanks I also think that Stockholm17 did something similar at one point (Gemini?), writing backers' names on the seal of a limited edition, and Luke Wadey has done personalized cards and even decks - and montenzi made special decks via MPC for a few people here
I just love the personal touch of it Still hate the fake Jerry's

Definitely not going to try for one of those limited issue five deck sets. Easy pass. Not interested in bricks either, although the first day and EB prices aren't bad. Deal me in the low stakes game.
That's pretty much my reaction also. I went in for a set, an uncut sheet and a gaff deck.
From a collector's standpoint I understand the case being sealed. 1. It's a point for inflation, and 2. For those that insure their collections, it makes it easier to underwrite.
Actually it's quite simple. Sealed means you can be sure that no one opened it and replaced the real JN for a good fake version. You know you've got the real deck in the box. Just a search on how to spot a fake JN tells you just how many fakes are out there. There's even fake decks which are pretty good imitations and good handling and some which are just crap.

Not really. Reasonable price for authenitic OG Jerry's Nuggets is $250-350. I know that they are sold for more aswell but that is solely because some peeps aren't doing their research and are blinded by hype and clicking on the first eBay listing because they get a free carat case with their $600 Jerry's Nuggets .

Grab your pitchforks and light your torches, villagers. I have to agree with TwoPiece on this one. I've always thought the JN design was butt-ugly. The only reason to ever get them is because of the magical handling everyone raves about. And because they are rare which doesn't mean they are good, just rare. These new prints have nothing in common with the originals. They cannot possibly handle the same because we all know, the original finish cannot be produced today. They are certainly not going to be rare unless someone buys them all up and hordes them like the originals. Oh wait, the do share the same butt-ugly back and standard faces of the original. If I were at the casino I might buy a deck for a couple of bucks for sentimental reasons but I see absolutely no reason to buy these at any price. At least the Chicken Nuggets had a sense of humor (they were butt-ugly too by the way).
Okay TwoPiece, I got your back now you cover mine. Incoming...

2500 bricks already sold LOL
I expect 80-100k print run. It's probably ~$1 per deck to print plus licensing. They should be available wholesale after KS.

On a more serious note. EPCC has done something for the card community, regarding innovation and stuff. Being the only real competion for Cartamundi/USPC (after their merger) in the future, I truely am glad that they have a financial succes with that campaign. Plus I like that people like Jackson and Sherman had a piece of the pie aswell.
Does it suck that people are more into this deck than the Arcana, Apothecary or the Parlour playing cards? - Yah, kind of in my opinion.
Does it suck that this deck will be without a doubt minimum top3 spot of the most funded kickstarters in playing cards? - Yah, kind of.
But in the end of the day, It isn't my money that got wasted and I have enough beautiful decks to care about.
(Lotrek if you read this, please, please ship them Fable as soon as possible! Ants are crawling under my skin! ).

There was more passion from the overall community (I'm talking universally - not just here at UC) about those decks than these, though. These have more hype, because that's all they are. Arcana, Apothecary, and Parlour are all beautifully-designed decks with passion from both the creators and customers. Passion > hype. Does it have more attention? Sure. People aren't actually "into" the JN design or anything. They're into the hype. These aren't gonna be decks that people treasure. It's a trash rehash. Way more of these will end up in landfills than any of the other decks you mentioned.

Whether you hate this deck, or love (to hate) this deck, it's going to be one of the most successful KS campaigns for a deck of cards. Trust me, I'm not a fan of Bill Kalush, but I'll give him credit for pursuing the license from Jerry's Nugget Casino, and he hyped the crap out of these decks with his two deck preview set he sent to all the major reviewers and retailers. I knew the campaign would do well, but not this well. I think there are a fair amount of people who are buying up bricks with the thought of re-selling them in the future, but they're going to be in for a rude awakening. There will be several tens of thousands of decks printed for the KS run, and even more decks printed in the years to come. You don't pay for a license to just have one printing of these decks, you're going to see these around for many years in the future and they'll print as many as they can sell for as long as they can. And you'll probably be able to get them cheaper than what they're being sold for in the KS campaign when retailers dump them off in sales.
I actually like the foiled version (since I'm a sucker for foil), but the Vintage Feel version is ridiculous. They are going to be printed in the Chinese factory with the JN finish, which we all know is horrifically inconsistent and handles like crap. It astounds me that Kalush is still babbling on about the fiction that his JN finished decks are the closest thing to actual JNs. The only reason this hollow claim doesn't get more flak is because so few people actually know how the original JNs felt. I'm pretty disappointed that Jerry's Nugget Casino didn't put in a condition on the license that these re-prints be only printed at the USPCC (the original printer) instead of being completely bastardized by low quality printers like EPCC China.
You know they're going to beat the hell out of this dead horse, so in the future I won't be surprised to see green, yellow, black, and other colored versions, maybe even gilded versions (the ultimate apostasy) as the demand for the basic blue and red versions dwindle. In any event, at the end of the day Kalush won't give a damn about the hate since he'll be going tot he bank with these.

I am backing this (a pair and a foiled deck), however, I also agree with you sinjin7.
Which gets me thinking what is next? Let me make some guesses. First with this campaign, I am envisioning gilded decks (Jerry’s Golden Nuggets and Jerry’s Silver Nuggets (maybe we will be spared a Platnum Nugget). Signature decks for sure. Foiled and gilded Nuggets?
After the campaign how about a Thanksgiving Deck? Jerry’s Turkey Nuggets? A Christmas themed deck? Jerry’s Santa Nuggets. Oh, I forgot Halloween. Maybe Jerry’s Trick-or-treat Nuggets? Don’t forget a Chinese New Year Deck. Jerry’s Rat Nuggets doesn’t sound right though. Oh this is fun.

I bet if they counted the add-ons for the foil decks, the print run would/will change to 5000 decks. I continue to read the enormous list of comments of clueless backers and just shake my head. People are not reading the FAQ and are all confused about how much to add. Some people think they can get 4 more bricks at the super EB price, it will be such a logistic nightmare when the money doesn't match what they think they are getting. I even saw some comments where people are thinking they are getting the 70s original decks (bricks of them)

I just went back and rewatched TGW's Jerry's Nugget preview, and at 5:07 he talks about this so-called Expert's "JN Finish" for the vintage feel is basically the same as the notorious David Blaine Stoics. Now if this is true, this campaign truly has turned for the worst for me. Stoics being the most hated deck Expert has ever produced, Expert somehow decides not to improve on that finish but alternatively advertise that garbage finish as the recreation of the original Jerry's touch? Just WOW, what a genius way to market what's already crap into gold.
Edit:
I'm just going to verify the claim above that after checking out the Stoics deck review by David (@MagicOrthodoxy), and check out starting from 4:25 where he states that the Stoics finish "were advertised as a JW or a Jerry's Nuggets finish".
Thanks to this, I've decided to pull out from pledging.

Following what I said above, I ALSO went back to watch Omar's take on the Stoics deck, and coincidentally at 0:47, here are the exact remarks about the "JN finish":
The deck [Stoics] is printed by the Expert Playing Card company, and features a new experimental "JN Finish," modeled after the playing cards famously sold at the gift shop of the historically important Jerry's Nugget Casino, in Las Vegas.
It's exactly the same remark that David had made in his Stoics' review. Whether this is a good thing or not? I can't say. But if the handling and performance is as s^*ty as the Stoics... buyers beware, if you're not a fan of the Stoics, this JN Vintage Feel reprint holds only the value of mimic and nothing else.

I don't know whether I would agree with Sinjin as I felt the same way about the Mint v2s, but they are selling for a lot more than the KS prices and there were tons of Mint v2s printed. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

For reference, JP is pre-pricing this at £12.99, which is approximately $16.50, 1.5 dollars more than the KS price with $5 shipping to UK. Not far from what KS offers

There're approximately 40,000 decks ordered already, and you can be sure that almost all the decks from the 1 and more brick pledges will hit the market! You've already saw what happend to 1st V2/fontaine rip'n'dips and more and both of these decks had smaller print runs. Therefore, I can't see a deck with a minimum of 60,000 print run will have a huge raise in price/value, atleast not without sitting around for the next 50 years and somebody buying the remaining decks .

The fact is that this campaign is taking hype to a whole new level. I guess the good thing is that it is apparently bringing in a lot of first time backers to kickstarter to hopefully get more invested in backing custom playing cards. Also, I fully expect this campaign to deliver cards, so at least they are not getting the Natalia Silva touch.
I'll try to look at the glass is half full here. I am hopeful more of these new backers might stay around for other campaigns, but maybe that is wishful thinking on my part. I don't know anyone here who say first backed "Name of the Wind" decks, which is/was the largest funded playing card campaign. I am afraid most of those first time backers were fans of the series and not really into playing cards. Still, it was a nicely made set of cards in its own right.
So, back to Jerry's Nuggets. I guess I just wish those being exposed to custom playing cards on Kickstarter would experience designers like Lorenzo, Gio, Jackson, Montenzi, or so many other talented deck designers than a Jerry's Nugget's redo.
In the meantime,
