Missed the first tranche (somebody went partying last night) but got in on the second. Still less than 200 sold, get in while you still can.

I'm kind of in the same boat here as gold monolith. I love love love Gios decks but I just cannot justify that much for gilding and a tuck color swap.

I understand the desire to do something when you have overrun decks available. I am happy they are selling well though!

I got mine at kickstarter prices, but oh boy does the gilding on the gold monolith really take it to another level that has to be experienced to appreciate. Probably the one deck I have which has the most justification for gilding considering the end result (though Room 17 may become a contender).

Sheesh! Can’t fault Gio for being disorganised. Order shipped within 36 hours.

On these one-off deck EB deals: speaking as an Australian, it’s nearly too good an opportunity to knock back, getting a deck at near-enough to half price.

I just received my Betrayers Invictus decks. I really like the pearlescence on the red stock.

Oh great! Thanks for the feedback, it's nice to know they arrived yet!
All orders were shipped this week, so everyone should get Red Invictus soon.

I also like a lot the pearlescent red paper used on the box, I am really in love with premium papers and I am doing a lot of research to find the best ones for future projects (also for Order Electus I have picked a crazy one)

@STLBluesNut - I know that decks like Red Invictus are not for everyone - I also prefer to design "new" decks and I perfectly understand your point :-)

On the other side, I have realized there are some collectors who really like gilding - this not means I am going to produce a gilded edition of every deck I'll do (it's expensive and crazy on my side as well) but maybe a couple of gilded decks per year is a good idea.

I've already mentioned how the Gold Monolith is really elevated by the gilding, but I'd also like to say that I barely notice the gilding on the NEC Plus Ultra. I think gilding should be reserved for only the craziest of decks which have foil on the backs/faces, for maximum impact. So shiny.

I prefer the approach "if it fits; I sits".
Gilding on the NPU makes sense and gives it a subtle hint of luxury. It works exellent with the black/white and gold of the deck. Gilding was for preserving important stuff and not to be shiny and flashy, I like when a deck is in that tradition.

Well, it's a lot of extra money for subtlety. Which is why expensive cars generally aren't, but seeing as I am certainly not a lambo etc guy I do understand what you're saying.

Indeed  .

Just to clarify, I think that the Gold Monoliths are an exceptional example where the gilding fits perfectly aswell and is not just an added feature for the features sake. Or the Unicorn Bicycle with rainbow gilding  . Perfect match there.
One example that I feel it doesn't fit well, at least not in how it was executed are the Valley Forge. Old school styled courts and founding fathers theme with modern coloured guilding? Sure I get that white, blue and red are the colours of the United States, but the combo doesn't fit there well imo.

Great! I am glad they arrived safely and you love them. Thanks for the feedback!

I guestimate that all the Red Invictus will arrive very soon to everyone. Now sales of Red Invictus are suspended, maybe it will come back during some future sales/bundles.

I usually love make bold decks, so I try to reserve gilding only for the "best" ones. Gold Monolith is obviously the best example, I am not sure I can do a crazier one. However, I'm trying

JP Games having a clearance sale here.

Betrayers Lucis, Tenebra & Veritas sold at £4 per deck. Great deal for those who haven't got this set yet.

Italia Segreta and Radiosa also on sale at £4 per deck.
