The Neptune Backerkit survey email was just sent to me. Dang, right as a bunch of other stuff hit. At least folks have until 10/24 to finish the survey (pay for the goodies). My extras added up, but I couldn't resist the mini decks, chips and coin. I had to force myself to miss the others, but I really like the poster of the court cards. I may yet add that before the end of the survey. Anyone else getting some goodies. Oh yeah, the carat cases of course. I kinda would have preferred that he had etched the carat cases like Lorenzo did for House of Spades, but oh well.

Yeah - got the coins, carat cases and a couple of Pluto decks. Otherwise keeping my powder dry for Lotrek’s Blue Damask and Alex’s NPCCD decks...

I got my surveys too. In addition to the 2x set of LE + SE decks that I got, i'm picking up two carat cases (one for SE, other for LE, may actually add a 2nd LE case later... maybe...), 4x Pluto decks, the whole set of uncut sheets, court illustration poster and the foil art print. (i'm not really into the coin or poker chips, so i won't get those). this is going to be super epic when they arrive! i'm so excited!!!

I was just looking at what has sold so far. 32 full regular sets; 416 Pluto mini decks; 82 coins; 258 carat cases. And 8 backers have added the 500 chip set at $400 each. Wow. That is some serious additional cash added to the of this. I am also assuming that number of backers means numbers added. If it is really just backers, then the actual count is higher.

Oh yeah, I can definitely see that. And the actual numbers will probably be even higher after everyone fills out the backerkit surveys. This has been one incredible series of campaigns. David/Srdjan really deserve a ton of kudos on this. Can't wait to see what they'll bring out next!

It's less of an overall budget thing, and more of a comics > playing cards thing.

I'm having a problem with the Survey.

In the Mars campaign I had pledged for a Full SE set ($80). I also pledged for a 1x1 Neptune Set (1 LE / 1 SE), for $37. I added an additional $203 to my pledge during the Neptune Campaign for a total of $240.

I am responding to the survey, it's crediting me for the 1x1 set, but it's charging me for the full SE set, without crediting me for the SE set I pledged for during Mars. So, I actually should have about $23 left (since I have $180 in add-ons, plus the $37 for the base pledge for a total of $217), instead it is saying I owe $72. Also, I thought I had already done the survey for the Mars campaign, so I am not sure why this SE set is considered part of my pledge for this campaign.

I have a feeling this can be easily rectified, so, I'm not upset, I just want to get it worked out before the PM closes. Otherwise, without qualification, this is the best *series* of campaigns I've ever participated in on a crowdfunding platform, and each one of the campaigns on their own is easily one of the best managed campaigns I've participated in.

Thanks davegk, you've set the bar high for yourself and others.

Edit: it seems I did not get a survey for the Mars campaign, this is functioning as both the Mars pledge and Neptune pledge managers for me. So, basically, I need the credit for the $80 from Mars campaign added. Now, how to get ahold of Vanda.

Everyone's getting their Uranus decks already so these are last two (Neptune and Pluto).

The collection already looks fantastic with the 7 decks show from the side.

Hoped to be able to split add-ons over 2 cards. Sadly this isn't possible, or I'm just too tired to be able to figure it out. Oh well. No poster for the Port man.

If you add up all 8 kickstarter campaigns, The Planets series racked up an impressive $288,481. That puts it firmly in the third highest funded playing card campaign in Kickstarter history behind "The Name of the Wind Art Deck" and "Mint 2". That does not include what I am sure is substantial additional purchases in backerkit, especially in the Neptune campaign.

I will say that there has been more funding raised in BackerKit (for the Neptune project alone) than the amount raised for the Neptune Kickstarter campaign, although a big chunk of that is going directly towards shipping/fulfillment costs :p

That said, I should also mention that the total production cost (not including shipping, fulfillment, Kickstarter/Stripe/BackerKit fees, or other expenses) for the entire planets series and add-on items is definitely well above $200k (I haven't calculated the grand total spent recently so I'm not sure exactly what that # is...)

I was not I to card collecting for the previous campaigns, but I was happy to have the opportunity to purchase a complete set in the last campaign.

It is going to be glorious to unbox all of these at once.

Do be sure you take five or ten minutes to appreciate each deck individually before you open the next one. The total effect is greater than the sum of its parts, sure, but there's a lot of little details in each deck that you might miss if you focus strictly on the big picture. Don't be that kid at Christmas who opens all his gifts before playing with any of them; you miss half the fun that way.
