I agree, very unique. Not only wood they make an interesting face-up fan, they would further set this deck apart from V1 and V2. I say go for it
will kidnap and torture your boss for a dollar...

Unless its a black back (which I don't think it is), I would vote no to the black border. This breaks the continuity of the trilogy too much, makes it look like it's not a part of the series.

Not sure if it has the substance to be a border....
It's more an outline, with detail.

hi guys
thanx for the feedback

the back will be full color, no white borders.. I finish it then i post a picture :)
I will look into the small crown/symbol on top right corner.
I tried a cat, but it gets quite "childish" so to speak.
I tried a red border but it was a bit odd...
work in progress tho :)))

thank you! :)

.. and here is how I would like to have the back
with red foil accents.

The foiling on the back increases dramatically the cost of a single deck... I am waiting for an accurate quotation, for now it is how I would like to have it :)

Love it - the black borders make more sense now too.

Could also see this in red with silver foil highlights...

I like that idea too - if it strays too far from th core design it could work on a gaff card maybe?

I really like the back and love the red for the cat eyes! I find the red in the corners EXTREMELY distracting though. Is that there because you think it might look good in a fan or something? I would much rather have it removed or shifted to make the XVII red instead.

Can't say I agree. I think the back would be missing something if those red drops weren't there, and I also think they will make the fans infinitely better than without. Wouldn't mind the XVII being red too, though :ugthink:

Those red spots belongs to no.17 heritage, they are there since version one....i cant remove them eheh
but yes, they are great for the fan and being red foiled will pop out as a traffic light.

I saw that the black spirit deck has something similar, with spades. The color scheme is also the same. Anyway, it is just black and red.

Fair enough, with the black background and these in red foil it's just the first thing I notice and distracts from the center elements. On the other decks it was more subtle. I also get the fan thing and assumed that it would be neat, but sucking at fans it was just a guess.

Still, I would check to see if it would be possible to do the XVII in red foil as well because that would make it more balanced and not cause such a fight between the center and edges. Perhaps just try a mockup to see what you think and then check on pricing.

I'm all in though, looks great over all!

I'm glad you're keeping the foiling on the corner element. While the Spirit Black deck also had foiling on the corners, they are too far in to be noticed in most fans and are more decorative than anything else. Your foiling is close enough to the edge where they will be both functional and decorative and you will be able to see the foil in all its glory in most fans and spreads. The red foil really popped on the muted dark background of the Spirit Black decks, so I think its really going to look great on your deck as well. Hopefully you can work out a good deal with the printers to keep the costs reasonable for the foiling.

thanx! the color scheme is the same as back spirit. Let´s hope that those red dots can be printed there. This foiling on cards procedure is tricky and expensive :(

Amazing deck for sure, praise would only be redundant as they would echo fellow members.

My only disappointment is that the red foil is a little TOO subtle. If I may be so bold, I would wish the back would live to it's namesake and have red cats on the center, rather than black ones. Not sure if that would be too extravagant or flat out look bad. But it's just an idea. :)

Red cats are not as evil looking as black cats with red eyes, that trumps anything. You're right though, all red would make quite a splash, but to me it would be just bling, this is subtle sexy bling (at a lower cost too).

I'd like to see red cats with black eyes. As Dan said, it would really be Le Chat Rouge then.

the red cats are way too much, not foiled in dark red might work, but foiled will be a big splash O_O

Or for Option B, make the gray areas red.

thank you for the feedback guys

Red cats definitely not, it looks like a traffic light. :D
I try a couple of more options.. but if there is a lot of foiling, the cost increases dramatically. The quotation of the red foiling is based on how many squared millimeters are foiled. This is not a normal foil, it is a special feature. It looks like foiling, but it is probably another kind of production process.

When I say dramatically, I mean more than $2 per deck as extra costs. O_O I had a heart attack when they told me.

I actually really like the large red centre piece over options A & B, but it does make the cats pretty hard to see.
Saying that however, I am also in favour of red cats for this deck.

I like option B over A. Option C is definitely too much. I think less is more when it comes to these types of decks (black with red foiling).

An argument against the "Why isn't the cats red in the 'red cat' deck" is that since it's a black/dark deck, any cat regardless of color would look black in the dark :ugthink:
