Thanks for helping steer the LEs to multiples, Mike. When possible I like to buy the LEs first and add standard decks to them. In this case the LE is way different from the standard deck and I was delighted to up my pledge to the 3x.

Another wasted opportunity by making the borders white IMO. Don't see why such a change needs to be done to something that is supposed to be an homage to vintage design.

The image of the original looks like it is make of blue paper - but it might just be a poor quality image or aging...

Well I was in on this project and dropped at the last minute.. Two reasons...

1) I have too many pledges going on...but

2) With 3 hours to go he releases an update that is essentially "Crazy Eddie's" were slashing prices to blow them out of here (limited edition decks price reduced as add-on).. Yes, I could have cancelled my pledge and re-pledged and got the exact same thing I was pledging for for less $$$, but it is more of the principle of it for me... In the end, there will be a few hundred backers who are going to get screwed out of a few bucks.. Again, it is not huge money we are talking about... but just not a fan of it..

He sent an update apologizing for the "crazy eddie's" and will do the following to make it up for it:

I am going to give every backer that pledged for a limited deck that didn't get the chance, an opportunity to add 2 more for $40 or 1 for $22. Please message me if you would like to do so.

I want to reward you even more so I am going to make the 1.5" dealers coin that I offered for the 800 backer stretch goal and I am going to give one to each of you free along with your reward.

The latest update:

"Hello everyone I have been working with USPCC on a new type of seal. And they are ready to go to mass production. The standard edition of the 1st and 2nd triplicates will both get these seals. It is a foil stamp cut out seal ..."

And as I mentioned in the comments section in the update:

"It would have been interesting to see if the foil stamp on the regular edition was something that people would prefer over a normal paper one if this was mentioned during the Kickstarter. As this project is a replication of the original release, if I had to vote, I would have preferred a "paper" like seal over the foil one. However, it's not something that I would have deleted my pledge for and the foil stamp does have its own attractiveness."

I'm with you, I would've preferred the paper tax stamp seal. I'm sure the foil seal will look good, but I don't think its as appropriate for a reproduction deck. Any other modern deck, then I am OK with foil seals.

I`m with Norbie. It would have been nice to be given a choice on the matter (i.e voting) and also why only the standard editions, I would have thought a foil seal better on the ltd`s

I'm sure it is to do with the limited being the "true" reproduction, it has same style case and paper wrapper. The Std id the modern day replica so it get the new shiny bling.

True, I understand completely and it's a nice little surprise. However, through the whole kickstarter a foil stamp was never mention and everyone assumed that the seal would be "paper". Both editions are supposed to replicate the original release (as far as they are able to) and never was it mentioned that one would have more modern aspects over the other.

Sorry to beat a dead horse.....

"Recent development with USPCC. They don't have the paper stamp style developed for the machine packed decks. They have a regular sticker seal or this new stamp shaped foil available. I think the stamp shape for the regular decks gives it fun look vs a regular square sticker for the decks. The limited decks will be hand packed and that allows us to have a real paper stamp applied for the seal." - Michael Scott (Project Creator)

As USPCC being the big boy on the block I would have thought they give you many options on various aspects when it comes to the production of a deck. I guess if you have a monopoly on ....

Not in yet.
Sept 18 "Should be in the next 2 days"
Sept 30 "It shows that it shipped. Let me look into it and get you tracking. I'll send it to you."

Should have done like others and asked BEFORE the Quads fulfilled. BTW, any way to cancel that, at this point? (I changed my pledge level, but the pledge amount did not auto-adjust.)

I didn't get mine at first, and sent Michael a note through KS, and then followed up in the comments. He sent me a USPS tracking number which showed the decks as delivered a couple of weeks previously -- but they never showed-up at my house. I've had packages bounce around before, but this is the first time i never got it. He told me that I'd get a replacement shipment, when it didn't show-up in two weeks I pinged him again and finally got my decks today.

I think its a case of third-party fulfillment house snafus, and this not being his full-time gig.

The cards are awesome.

Looks like only people from the USA got their package yet, so looks like they are late on international shipments.

No shipping note yet. Nothing.
One of those I wish I hadn't of bothered with to be honest.
That's the thing with kickstarter. It's too hit and miss!!
Probably won't back any future projects by the creator.
