Can someone loop me in on this dispute?
USPCC owns the rights to Oriole ( sort of, they're public use now, but he asked out of courtesy). When he asked to do an Oriole deck they said no. Someone in the discord suggested he go ahead with it anyway and call it The Bird as an FU, he loved the idea, and so that's what happened. There's a bit more to it, but that's the gist.

And you will notice that while Crow Brand was USPC, The Bird is Jackson's PRC printer (I am just suggesting an edit to P52 regarding this)

So manu, was that tuck inside the maroon slipcase for the Shriners Mystic?

That's what I thought initially, but after doing some light research I believe this was a different deck entirely, by Brown & Bigelow. This is the box that Jackson used as inspiration for his version, I believe. If anyone knows more about about this deck please let me know.

The Mystic Shriners deck came in a two-part box as seen in the image below.

rousselle wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 6:21 am Also of note: JR stated that the only reason the Table Players Gilded subscription is being continued is because they already had designed the decks, and the gilded were far more popular than the standards, so QED they're letting this subscription play out with only the one variant. But other than that, for the time being, they're getting out of the subscription business model to turn attention to other projects that don't benefit as well from that model.
Jackson has been canvassing opinions on Discord as to what fans would like subs to be like, so it seems highly probable that they will be back in some form in 2026

and again as I seem to be saying a lot "to give context"

the current thinking seems to be 3 quarterly themes

Whatever happened to his subscriptions? I just noticed that the table players appears dead. I am/was a sbuscriber and I have not been charged anything this year not received any decks. I never received any communication from them that it was ending which is disappointing.

As you can see a few posts up - Jackson was seeking feedback on whether and what subs his fans would like but that was some time ago and I cannot remember if anything was decided. Jackson has quite a Discord following and I think he thinks that all his fans (subscribers) tune in there. His KS projects can go 3 months without an update. Jackson's favourite new toy is a 3d printer and he has been mucking around with that making prototypes of future cases for some decks being re-released.

Yes he seems to be cycling through social media sources, instagram was big for awhile, but he hasn't posted in 5 weeks.

Everything was supposed to be listed here, on a page that I had to search for 10 minutes to even find

https://kingswildtimeline.base44.app

The next release (Authurian reprint) is correct thought the dates weren't updated its going to be this week due to some shipping delays.

here is the 3d printed special edition case this time

I cant recall him talking about the cards much, just the case.

Discord has been a constant but I agree with the above that I dont think as many people pay attention to his discord as he thinks.

Just had it confirmed on Discord that No New Subs have been opened. The only thing on offer is to be a VIP - you get some benefits for paying $50? (I think)

I find it frustrating that discord seems to be the method of communication. I have no interest in using it. I had not heard anything about the blackbird decks and had to email them to get info. They said it was announced on discord. Why not send an email to those that ordered the decks?

As far as I can tell, since he closed the warehouse and started using a 3rd party fulfillment company, "they" is just him. Or him and his family at least. Hes clearly been pushing to make his operation a clean as possible. Which makes sense given that playing card sales in the industry plateaued after the pandemic and dropped since. Its smart of him to be thinking ahead like that. But yeah, I think it also stifled communication a good bit when theres less people involved. He hasn't been using Instagram nearly as much either. The last Wednesday weekly update was in November.

Maybe Jackson is enjoying a bit of down time or semi-retirement.
He has done up his truck and certainly enjoying experimenting with his 3d printer
Maybe if you become a VIP you may get more emails - I suppose it is a bit like a cheap Patreon
I think Mariana is still working for him

The only VIP emails we get are for the pre-sales.
