Every year Kickstarter runs its 'Make 100' campaign in January, where creators are encouraged to produce exactly 100 rewards. Small-scale, handcrafted rewards that are extremely limited.
This year I decided to participate! 100 unique decks - our classic Jocu cards inside a one-of-a-kind handprinted tuck box by me. Numbered and signed. With a little certificate inside!
These will probably be the most limited decks we ever make. Each one a completely unique design. And it will be a surprise - you just choose which series you want and I will do the rest! It's a kind of 'Unique Mystery Deck'
I just got this email, as someone who (no hate intended) just doesnt "get" jocu cards plus their reaction to some things that have happened put me off them a little bit further...Im going to look into this one, it seems neat but yeah...probaly going to be too expensive for a "thats neat"
The whale and fish ones look gorgeous, I can't wait to see more. Hopefully the pricing isn't insane so I can try and get more than one. Does anyone have a guess as to how much they might charge per deck on this campaign? Also if I read it right its mystery decks, you don't get to choose which design you want but can put the series name you prefer at least ?
As I read it, you can choose which series you want (so for example, The Green Man) but which deck you get for that series and what is painted on the tuck is a mystery.
Should have also noted that this is going live on the 27th and more information due Monday.
I backed one, not really sure which is to my liking I went for Onda and then changed to under the moon, some kind of animal thing is what Im thinking. (Eagle would have been preference but AI thinks the only deck remotely associated is green man..and only barely).
Looking at the cards....ehhh this is why I dont have any of their decks...just hoping it comes out well, the examples look excellent.
Kickstarter seems to have an outage right now, but I was glad to see Jocu sold all of their decks within about five hours. Definitely looking forward to seeing Ale's magic soon! It was certainly expensive, but I am thrilled to be a part of it.
I got in and instinctively selected Onda because I was in and out of work meetings. Glad to see everything sell out and can’t wait to see what I get. This is a really cool project.

I see only some categories sold out (onda, under the moon) - might have been a kickstarter glitch that showed them all sold out

Not as active as I used to be. I just saw this and see everything is all gone. I would have participated as it sounds interesting and priced fine. I am glad that it was super successful, but I'm not going to lose sleep that I missed out.

Hello, I am Ale, I've just read all of your comments, thank you everybody to be so nice. If you are interested to a deck of the campaign just send us a message on kickstarter and if someone will drop the pledge we will let you know. We have already a waiting list and Ic members will have the priority.
