"Gunslingers" by Joker and the Thief

Unread post by KGthePrince »

Unknown project that was teased on IG. I'm using the name gunslingers as placeholder for now.

Project name confirmed. Gunslingers coming soon.

Apparently J&T have a new printer after their fall out with WJPC. Their story also teases a huge project on the horizon for their 10th anniversary.

I know that some people find the calaveras-type decks played out, but when they are done well, me very much likey. And if they've *actually* found a good new printer, I'd love to know more. As it is, I'm starting to lose any faith that Kingstar is getting the job done. Bummer we've lost WJPC. I think I might be giving these serious consideration.

Agreed, I have a soft spot for skeletons.

As for printers, I still really like Legends

I like these a lot. Need to resist my urge to impulse buy though as I already spent too much on cards this month and these are very much at the pricier end for me :D

The backs look very weak to me.
I would love Dan & Dave to make their Drifters tuck into a card back
With a little tweeking I always thought the tuck front would look even better than the figure 8 back

I really like these. But for two decks, over $51 to my door is not worth it.

After James's big dissapointment over WJPC's unprofessionalism, they now go to KingStar... hmmmm

And Heck! I missed the EB Pair... that hurts, the EB price is way low than standard Pair pledge

Hi, we have recently printed our Christmas decks with Kingstar. I have to say I am VERY happy with the quality. I would definitely say Kingstar is a good option for anyone looking to print cards, and that collectors should not worry if a creator is using them.

That being said, for creators your experience with a printing company is HUGELY dependent on the sales rep you are given. This is make or break

If I am sounded indifferent, I have no means to do that. I am aware of James’s long ranting of how WJPC screwed him up, and that is really unfortunate.

I am okay with KingStar, just saying - don’t want others to assume I don’t like Kingstar when I said what I said above. If I don’t like them, I wouldn’t bother backing this project.

To my knowledge, Kingstar is not a vertically integrated printing factory, so I cannot really comment on long-term production stability, and WJPC appears to have experienced internal disruption since their previous account manager left in 2023. EzraCard also seems fairly solid from what I’ve seen on recent ks projects.
