Yeah, I mean I get the high shipping costs being out of the creators' control, but I just can't stomach it when the shipping is more than the pledge.

Nowadays you have to like something enough to buy a few in order to average out the shipping costs

This is why I keep on appealing to fellow Aussie UC members to pm me - there have to be times when we can lower shipping by combining our orders

Hi Honeybee, I am new here, lurking for a month or so, just getting into collecting. Not sure where you are, but I am Melbourne based, happy to connect on future opportunities.

Hey everyone - yes Honeybee is right, costs do become better value the more you buy (for better or worse). I totally understand the frustration around shipping costs, nobody gets it more than me! I know if we were to offer cheaper international shipping we would attract more backers and therefore ultimately be more successful, but for the most part we must cover costs which include: shipping with a tracking number, packaging and materials, and - for the USA - the new customs clearance and handling fees to boot (these fees are the main reason that shipping to the USA is more than it has been in the past - also we now use tracked shipping for everything whereas we were able to offer some cheaper shipping options in the past by using standard and/or economy services which we discovered just weren't as reliable).

While I hope international shipping has now stabilised for the foreseeable future and we won't be putting costs up again, I will make sure this is something we stay on top of as I know it's very important.
