A distilled tradition and modular system of play.
Spanish-suited playing cards are among the oldest card design systems, dating back to the 14th century.
This edition distills each suit into fundamental modules through reduction rather than stylistic reinterpretation.
A recursive visual system where every element, from numbered cards to face cards, emerges from the same core geometry.

I get the direction, but a bit too minimalist for me. I actually really like the reference cards

As a Hispanic person I feel like I see plenty of similar Spanish decks. Not sure the exact one but it looks very standard imo

It looks like the Napoletane pattern of Italian playing cards. Here's a scan on wikipedia: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File ... mpleto.jpg
If you search for Napoletane playing cards you can find some for sale.

There are plenty of the usual around but I cannot find one with that buff background color which so suits an old style deck

Re: New Spanish Playing Cards by David Genco
I know we are getting away from this new deck but in the vein of the originals the closest I came to the reference deck - with that old age look was the deck reviewed below
Worth getting? Or does anybody know of a better option
