because of this, most people in Chinese ark chat group are very angry, thinking that it is not possible to simply change colors like this, and sell it for so much. They've been fighting since this morning.

Well considering all thing Ark they are really keeping this launch very private , the info is Backers Only , they didn't mail or post on any social media to promote this deck . I feel the price is pretty good tbh . Ark not promoting it is definitely a different thing contrary to what they usually do (heavy on promotion).
Yeah, that's why I waited until things calmed down.

Because it becomes such a trouble, The Ark came out to explain that this deck of cards was the beginning of a new series of zodiacs (this year is the Year of the loong in China), and also invited a part of collectors who had bought ark in China to pre-order. of course, it is also limited purchase 1, so it's pretty much semi-public right now.

I think this is really a marketing accident, this deck was released at a bad time, because the Ark has just caused some negative public opinion because of the price and freight issues, and the appearance of this deck has ignited these public opinion.

and in terms of the limited quantity of this deck, I understand that this is an early purchase, and there will be sales in the future, because this theme of zodiacs can open a large market in China.

Thanks for sharing the China collectors group's response. That's something the rest of us aren't privy to. But as Evilgamer mentioned, this can't be the first time they've seen a recolor of Limited deck?

Also the Chinese Zodiac will also be popular amongst the global Chinese diaspora as well. As mentioned in another thread, I've yet to see a good design for that theme. Just hope Ark doesn't go crazy with all the special sets and release a standard deck for the rest of us! :D

PFFTTT! ARK to NOT doing special sets: FAT CHANCE! They will and always will be doing sets, and they would make sure the color that you love is in "sets only"

Ended backing 1 x EB Kite and 1 x Azure Dragon as I missed the OG Campaign and the secondary market prices are super high so it was a nice offer for me !

I did wind up backing the standard Kite deck. It's the nicest court cards they have done recently.

I have all Four Beasts and was already disappointed they use the same courts. Not buying into the re-release.

I ended up backing out, I did like the gold deck, but ...wood box set cost... the blue holo deck wasnt as appealing and not really going to be picking up many more decks that dont have some kind of metallics on the face so the base wasnt a consideration.

Looking at the courts for the dragon deck was kind of the last straw I think.

I ended up with one standard Kite edition and the Dragon Re-Release as I missed all four beasts the first time around.

I only backing Kite because I need it's Display Stand - because they don't give me any when they sent me the Preview deck.
I tried not to get the Dragon 2024 because I don't have any of the Four Beasts - althought maybe I should have gotten it before the campaign ended. I guess, here's to hoping it might pop up as an add-ons on ARK's next project... which is that Halloween stuffs.

The Standard Kite edition has the sticker indicating the number and print run stuck on the wrapping which usually doesn't happen. Almost threw it away on accident so I thought I'd let you know.

Received the Standard Kite and Azure Dragon Deck , initially I was not super keen on the Kite , it was sort of like just have to get it for the sake of getting the Azure Dragon but recently it has grown onto me and now I really love the deck , the tuck is amazing and the design is nice too! The cards are thin and handle really well USPCC(or better ) quality . Sure its a bit pricey but the packaging is top notch , the stand is of solid quality not made up of flimsy material , the cards handle well and it looks great on display . The numbering at the bottom as a sticker is the only thing I didn't like , else I really like the deck though I can agree that it feels a bit expensive with no foiling or anything but I believe the stand and tuck make up for it , I find the tuck really cool and personally my favorite Ark tuck as of now .

The presentation of the Azure Dragon - 2024 Anniversary Edition deck is certainly lovely, especially with the custom carat case.

Literally took mine out of it’s carat case today to put a JBP deck in there. Safe to say I need more protective cases.
