I wanted to release this during the campaign at 150%. We didn't reach that, but I still want to see it made, so I decided to gauge interest while we wait for the main campaign production. A small percentage of backers will receive a test survey to make sure things are bueno, then the rest will be released next week on the 24th. Daya and Fera Special Edition WILL be printed by WJPC instead - so all four decks are done by WJPC

Daya Special will have Black foil gilding - Fera Special will have Light Blue foil gilding

The Special Edition will have numbered seal on the bottom of the tuck

I'm not a backer but if I would've been, these would be good news in my book. Gilding is a nice upgrade compared to edge printing.

I can honestly say that the printer has had zero impact in my decisions regarding backing/buying decks as I a) don't know enough, and b) don't really care. Even if it was a concern for me, I trust Mr. WiseAboutTheBacons to make the right decisions.

I wanted to share a quick update on production for the various components of this campaign:

Coins: COMPLETE & RECEIVED
Swords: COMPLETE & RECEIVED
Carat Cases: COMPLETE - EN ROUTE TO SHIPPING PARTNER
Cards: IN PROGRESS - WJPC will be reopening next week, following the Chinese New Year holiday. My hope is to be in their printing queue very close to when they open so the cards can move forward.
Tucks: IN PROGRESS - Boschiero & Newton will finish the Special Edition tuckboxes and mail them to WJPC by next week. The Standard Edition tuck boxes will be produced by WJPC once they reopen.

Things are looking great so far and I will keep you in the loop on developments as we get closer to wrapping things up. As of today, Backerkit orders have been locked and cards have been charged for any add-ons. This will allow me to coordinate funds for the final printing payment and get more accurate counts to prepare shipping supplies and logistics.

FINAL NUMBERS

With orders being wrapped up, here are the final print numbers for the five decks:

Got mine today. The case is really cool and the coin/swords are a nice touch. Im glad I sprung for that. Love the art on the cards. I opened the two-way version. I was one that asked for this version and happy it is a reality. I can appreciate the decision for the one-way variant as the art deserves it. Some of the detail is lost in the two-way. It's WJPC so the cards handle well-enough and there is a bit of an odor, but im not doing cardistry or magic with these, so I am happy.

Yes the 1 way/special decks are so much better before you even get to the foiling. Im not entirely sure why that is.

Going one-way with a deck walks a fine line between aesthetics and playability. That is a big reason I opted to have a two-way deck so that the one-way could be the full artistic vision with a bit less emphasis on the gameplay aspect.

Those minis do look good. I just found myself a lil' sprout for 9$ shipped and now I'll be on the lookout for this too. I believe the war mini was an add-on in that campaign. Does anyone remember how much it was selling for on ks?

The limited decks are gilded and foiled? Printed by WJPC. Tucks by B&N. 18$ or 20$, depending if EB or not. Is this correct? If so then why would a creator need to charge nearly double that for a deck with the same or very similar specs or maybe a better question is why would I buy a deck that has similar production costs but twice the price. I'm just thinking aloud. I'm sure by now some people know that price and value are important to me, so when I see campaigns like this from Curio, I have to tip my hat. Well done Jaime
