All of this year's Table Players decks were designed in one live (on Youtube) 24 hour continuous design session. This has been the result. Some of them were nice, but enough were blah that I canceled my subscription.

KWP announced this morning all the subscriptions are dead starting 2024 EXCEPT table players gilded.

see video for explanation...short version expect more kickstarters and "higher effort" decks. the 2024 table players decks are already designed and most people want the gilded not the standard.

Me dunno. I can see this take but as well the video and wording did give me a "I'm going to revisit a lot of shorts themes" aka nothing new but just more fleshed out former projects.

Perhaps, but by not making them subscription decks, it's easier to opt in if you want to than opt out if you don't want more of the same. And, there are enough other projects that *are* original, it's easy enough to pick and choose where to place your money. I'm totally cool with that.

The archaic version? That’s what I’m waiting on as well. Probably not happening

He's said repeatedly that's he's still doing it, but I'm doubtful. With everything that he has on his plate it seems unlikely he'll have time for it. With him cancelling the subscriptions though perhaps it can still happen. But he has ROTK coming next and then The Hobbit, so if it does still do it, it likely won't be for quite a while. And with how much work he has to do with the Tolkien estate to get approval for every piece of artwork, I would be surprised if he doesn't just move on after Hobbit.

He did say he was working on another licensed property deck that I think is going to be the early 2024 Kickstarter (after next weeks before march...I guess). Who knows it could be that.

Discord, and hope you see the message in the first few minutes since there is no set time. Yesterdays (legacy legal tender with some damage to the wood displays) we did get some warning as to what was being put up, though they just randomly put them on sale after noon the next day, but I think the day before (printing plates from the old intaglia number cards) it just happened.

Actually they announced what today was as well yesterday....No idea what tommorrow/friday is....yet

The few gilded decks left for v 10 and v24 disappeared in a flash ; but there's still plenty of std decks left for many of those still in stock. Around 100+ and even 200+ for some . Worth taking the time if you're into the TP.
