Premium B and C
Red/Blue - between A and B for both

I discounted most of C-F because at the size/resolution of the photo I can hardly make out anything so they looked really muddied. Not sure if my impressions would be different with higher resolutions.

This.

Plus, for Premium, C gets the nod if the borders are intended to be a metallic gold to match with the gilding.

As kevork mentioned, C-F details get lost at the resolution we can see atm, even when I click on the file.

Premium B and C ,
Blue and Red -A and B. F looks too busy compared to A and B

There is a VERY high liklihood that the Blue/Red choice will be made in tandem. In otherwords if D is chosen for one it will be for both. The other high liklihood is that gold wont make it on to the red/blue backs. A is nice. But we want a standard red/blue pair a la riderbacks.

That only makes the choices even harder now that we can see the details clearer! :ugthink:

Going for contrast and making the back details pop, I'll go for B for all 3.

Seeing the more detailed versions and that the Blue and Red will be the same, I'd say the B option for all three too.

Repeating faces & crowns on the Queens make me lose some enthusiasm. The Kings are mostly in that same boat. Pips look super awesome.

But... yeah, while I like the style of the courts, the repetition of the faces and crowns take the air out of the sails for me.

FWIW, YMMV.

I’m with rousselle on this one, but still picking up one copy for the frog smoking a pipe, regardless of what anything else looks like. I imagine the similar courts may change before it goes live - which I may like more or less - but I am still getting at least one frog.

Groundskeeper becomes Cornercutter, haha.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

I feel like this is the natural consequence of trying to put creativity on a timeline. Same with Jackson Robinson. He seems to have become a factory to churn out material.

Jackson has found a business model that works (very well) for him and Omar seems to be trying to figure his own out - it can't be easy and I wish them both nothing but success :D

Very much +1.

I know I've posted here a few times when my personal preferences diverged from the direction his various projects were taking -- just as I have also posted here when I've enjoyed and agreed with the direction those projects were taking -- and I have done so not as a criticism, but in the hopes that he will create better and better decks that I will truly enjoy adding to my collection. As it is, I have my opened decks from the Tale of the Tempest series in a stack next to my desk where I'm typing this right now, and I often open up the Wylenti Edition when I need a break from work and just want to look at some lovely art. (Truth be told, my favorite deck in that series is the Midnight Edition. Better than even Dynastinaynay or the Prism Edition. But right now, Wylenti is at the top of the stack, so I guess convenience wins out over beauty.)

My point is, even when I voice constructive criticism, I do so with the sincerest desire that Omar and his collaborators keep succeeding. I like that he has listened to our feedback regarding pricing and gateways, and he is addressing that feedback in his business plan for 2023. I hope this new approach is successful; I'm very optimistic about the direction he is planning to travel.

As hsbc notes above: "it can't be easy and I wish them both nothing but success."

PS: I still don't want quasi-repeating courts. Just sayin'.

Noted on the faces and crowns. I have talked to Dan. We will likely revise them slightly to add more subtle variation in the faces and crowns. But will probably happen post-campaign.

Looking good. I wish the green on the backs was a bit brighter, but maybe it's just the lighting. I love the jokers!

Yes, noticed that too. But that's why we print prototypes! Or at least one of the reasons. We will adjust the color for the final decks.

I'm kinda sad that ad card(?) isn't a full-bleed back design

It's currently designed as a cut card for dealing. But we could see a variation on the Groundskeeper with a casino style back in near future as well. Although it would be altered slightly to be two-way.

I like that cut card idea. For me it's like getting something extra; you already have 54 of the same back design in the deck so, I like having variation there.
