[SELL] Federal 52 10-Deck Set with Box

My name is Tom, and I've been lurking here for a number of years. My apologies that I've not been active in the forums, but it's been fun and informative to read. In order to facilitate another hobby, I'm hoping to sell off probably the only decks that I have of any value.

I have a full set of the 2013 King's Wild Project Federal 52 decks, including the box. (See pictures). All are in shrink, no dings or tears in the cellophane. The box is good condition: A bit of shelf wear, but no noticeable dings, dents, scratches, or tears.

Gold Certificate - Unbranded
Gold Certificate - Bicycle Branded
Silver Certificate - Unbranded
Silver Certificate - Bicycle Branded
White Reserve Note - Unbranded

Black Reserve Note - Unbranded
Black Reserve Note - Bicycle Branded

I do not have any of the coins, etc. Just the decks and the box.

I am shipping from the US (97223), and will quote shipping separately once we agree on a shipping method. (I'm partial to FedEx, but am open to other options). I'll take the box in for a quote, and can provide a pic of the estimate.

Payment would be via pay-pal friends/family.

I'm hoping to get $400 for the set, but am open to negotiation. I'm hoping that someone here is interested, since I really don't want to do the ebay thing.

Well, asking for FnF isn't really a problem to me, it's only when the buyer willing to pay extra for GnS fee but can't, that's where it's strange.

Just an update: They have been spoken for, and we're finalizing everything now.

My apologies that the way I posted was suspect. I don't have a history of selling things online, and was trying to copy what I was seeing in other peoples sale posts. I think I've received money thru paypal once. Thankfully, the interested buyer pointed me to how to send an invoice in paypal, so it'll be under 'goods/services' after all.

I admit I'm a lurker, and based on the interest I got, the pricing was probably a decent deal. That probably raises more flags. That being said, I don't fault anyone for being cautious. I think it's good that the regulars of a forum look out for each other.

At the end of the day I really do just want a fair deal, with the cards going to someone who'll like having them. Wasn't looking to maximize, just wanted to find a way to afford this thing: https://www.super-groupies.com/product/7030

If that is a genuine deal, its a massive steal at that price. If something seems too good to be true it normally is, but hey, I'm sure there are exceptions.

sometimes not knowing or understanding the value such as a complete fed 52 set can either hurt the seller or simply the seller just wants to move it

u mentioned you got a lot of responses and its probably due to the price which was a steal btw its a true collectors item

putting it on eBay would have netted you at least $650+ imo but then fees are attached

simply asking for friends n family isnt wrong by any means and if the user wants protection let them add the 4% protection fee and put it through as a sale

i wouldnt worry about christopher the troll throwing neg comments around about being “sus” whatever that means

As Warren Buffet said, "Price is what you pay. Value is what you get." The sellers perceived value of that watch was greater than that of the decks. We valued it higher as collectors, and someone got a great deal. He most likely had some idea of the value, and saw the nightmare of selling on ebay and figured why not sell here. I sold some of my other collections, sometimes at a loss to fulfill my playing card collection, at least in part. Looks like a win win, if he gets his watch, which is pretty cool looking!

I don't know brother. Sending F&F is no different than sending an envelope of cash. You have no recourse should the seller decide not to send the item paid for. As far as PayPal is concerned, it's a done deal. You don't get to file a claim to get your money back. Unless you're spending a couple of thousand, 4% is a very small price to pay for peace of mind. $40 per $1000 is a no-brainer unless you're familiar with the seller. That's how I see it anyway.
