Some might want to add gilding.

With big boys maybe. $$$$$? Or they are in the middle of a reorganization, so it's hard to find who is responsible.chicken_ql wrote:who's business do they do then?
It will be too boring if I start talking about EPCC's pros and cons. It's my very subjective personal opinion - if I need a deck printed in China, I'll use WJPC. Don't want to explain. Also, EPCC's cold foil is crap (lots of reasons). Again - I don't care as I am not planning to work with them. I wish them all the best, but there are better options that exist on the market, at least for me.hsbc wrote:Is that the only reason why?montenzi wrote:I will never use EPCC as a printer. And I wouldn't say I like their cold foil.
Recently, I received samples from WJPCC. I was extremely impressed! Just wow! WJPC is 3rd in my list of top companies (overall). I like what I saw, and I am already using some of their services...again. It's not a big secret, but new Hello Tiki V2 boxes (without foil and embossing) for half of the print run were printed by WJPChsbc wrote: Actually the recent Titanic Tarot Cards KS project had an update where the creator went to China -- he visited WJPCC and said they're about to sign with Mattel to print Uno cards![]()
Technically hearsay though so

Yes, it's a significant problem. In the past, everything was made through Jirs.shkorc wrote:Jirs Huygen also not replying?

I'd actually buy those.kem-collector wrote:chicken_ql wrote:Time to start collecting artisan uno cards i guess :/

Can't. Stop. Watching.
Great update, Alex!

Alright, calm down Harry Potter!montenzi wrote:Imagine playing cards (made of paper) with non-static artwork.

No calming down, Blade Runner!Timmargh wrote:Alright, calm down Harry Potter!montenzi wrote:Imagine playing cards (made of paper) with non-static artwork.

Thanks Alex - would KS allow you to do this? I thought that they are now implementing a policy that one is not allowed to launch another project prior to the previous one being fulfilled.montenzi wrote:As we are waiting, I'll reveal one of the reasons why all back designs were updated. Not only AoD, but all Aces are custom. And it did not work well with the old flower design![]()
Most likely, I am not going to wait for Cartamundi and try to launch a new KS in Feb.

It's not too crucial for me, and I can delay a new KS. UC2019 is my last deck in this style. Before launching one of my next projects, I have to improve my skills and start drawingMagic Tapp wrote:I obviously do not have any doubts that the UC deck is going to be delivered but thought I would ask if KS became more flexible in this regard.

It's such a shame to see how these well-established and reputable companies are shitting the bed lately between Cartamundi's complete lack of response/significant delays and USPCC's lack of printing accuracy. I am so excited for UC No. 7 so this development frustrates me as a collector. I imagine, as a designer, you are frustrated well beyond what I feel. I'm sorry you have to deal with this and thank you for keeping us updated!montenzi wrote:Most likely, I am not going to wait for Cartamundi and try to launch a new KS in Feb.

Not sure if that policy applies to everyone on the platform. I see a number of creators are not automatically approved and have to wait for approval by Kickstarter. Not sure what their criteria is, but I have been able to get auto approved each time (touchwood).Magic Tapp wrote:I obviously do not have any doubts that the UC deck is going to be delivered but thought I would ask if KS became more flexible in this regard.

Thanks Sunish - that is interesting. I wish KS would develop their algorithms to the point where well-known and reputable project creators are able to side step these limitations while KS applies a much more rigorous monitoring system for others.guru wrote:Not sure if that policy applies to everyone on the platform. For Mythos, I recently created a draft on Kickstarter along with a landing page, and the project got auto-approved this time too.

They always automatically approve my project. It's a good sign.Magic Tapp wrote:I wish KS would develop their algorithms to the point where well-known and reputable project creators are able to side step these limitations while KS applies a much more rigorous monitoring system for others.

So was one of the reason for the lack of communication due to Jirs no longer with Cartamundi anymore and it took time to hire a new representative?montenzi wrote:Good news! Jirs is still there, but he is a busy bossEric Lee wrote:So was one of the reason for the lack of communication due to Jirs no longer with Cartamundi anymore and it took time to hire a new representative?montenzi wrote:Good news!
