Moved into a new workspace / warehouse last week and are starting the fulfilment process for the Vegas Diffractor:

What is the machine that the metal cases are sitting on?

That's a laser-engraving machine that we bought about 10 days ago. We were intending to engrave all the numbering on the inner metal cases ourselves. We even had a half days training at how to set-up the programs and the machine and how to operate the machine.....but after failing to get a high quality result after attempts on some of our old QC-rejected metal cases, we called our back-up laser-engraver professional and dropped all the cases off at their place to be done.

We'll get there of course, but it's quite a lot more difficult than you might think, between the programming and the operation.

We'll put it to good use though, as another unique advantage of our metal cases is the ability to engrave that inner silver part, on both sides if desired....not only with the numbering (to match the sticker seal for the diffractors) but also with personalization, should anyone want that.

FYI - The rest of the lasering (through the anodised, colored outer metal) is done in China.

I sure wasn't expecting to get three versions of the bonus hidden 8 card! I'm very happy to be able to keep these three cards out and about to look at so the deck can stay in its case more

I like to peel the seals off of decks - I was worried this one would be tough but it was one of the easiest to peel off I've ever had




It's really hard to get a picture of the effect

Pretty sure I read on KS or something that this is how the cards are "supposed" to be stored, i.e. the black paper tuck is temporary

But there's plenty of room! I just put the cards back into the black tuck (now sans sticker) which really does just fit into the metal case, it's snug but I didn't feel like I needed to force it in

Overall I'm really glad I backed! I do wish there was a little more color (or even black) on the back design, the white feels sort of empty - but I'd still recommend these for sure

Thanks for sharing the photos and your thoughts. Those metal cases are really sweet. I am looking forward to getting mine before too long and finally opening each type of deck to enjoy them. I really like how the gold and violet decks turned out.

I am fairly certain they said there will be extra decks for sale after the Kickstarter rewards have been distributed. They will likely wait until they are sure that they have a good handle on replacement shipments due to lost/damaged mail before making the surplus decks available.

However, understand that they will not be for sale at Kickstarter pricing. They are going to be more expensive, but I don't know what it will be.

Didn't they set these up where folks could actually preorder them now and reserve a specific number? Their website has an option to email them to preorder. If you want, i would fill that out and see what happens. You may be able to lock in what you want with them now and maybe get to pick a specific number(s).

Our website shop function is going to be put back to Oct 14th launch now. We set the web-designers a task that they are now cursing us for big style every day. It's going to be brilliant and it's another first (in the playing cards industry for certain), but it's super-difficult to program (and costing us a fortune!)

But the units of specific numbering reserved by folks recently via the landing page email reply will be sent out as planned, in the first week of Sept. The only difference being that we will take payment via our company PayPal rather than via the new web-shop. Just a temporary measure. Each of these customers will be emailed privately to make the arrangements of course.

RE the sticker seal......yeah it can peel off pretty easy, BUT the cards are still sealed inside their cello anyway!

Definetly. I'm always there for the product in the first place. If a product is awesome, I don't mind a not that good or bad presentations and I always understand if creators are focused on their product and don't really care about the other parts of business, but a good presentation shows me as a customer that the creator really puts effort in the overall business/is willing to go an extra mile, therefore I can assume they put effort in customer service and trouble-shooting aswell.

I agree 100%! it really doesnt do them justice. It picked up the pips very well but the jokers, AoS, and back are definitely lacking. The scanner applies a uniform light to prevent shiny objects from glare, but in this case the glare is exactly what makes these special. Geometric Abstractions (Neon UV ink) and White Monolith (Heavy foil) had similar issues. This was an issue I was anticipating so I might have a solution tho, please check your PM.

Also received my decks some days ago! Overall very happy with them. The only thing that needs improvement (and you should really fix this), is the cutting, some of the cards are about 1mm shorter than the others.

Imperfect cutting

If you want people to use your decks, then this has to be fixed, otherwise the decks, although usable for your go fish game, will not be used for any serious games, as riffle shuffles are impossible.

I would love to understand why this happens, is like the cards are cut with different dies..
