I wish I could of gotten the uv deck but could only do the gold at the time.

This was a set I dug deep to get as many of as I could possibly afford as I am definitely opening one of each type (except those in the VXD deluxe cases) to enjoy and display. The anticipation is killing me.

I don't normally post unflattering photos (for obvious reasons). Since I'm not actually at the factory in Holland though currently or have these samples in my possession to do the them justice, I can't help myself but post this poorly lit photo that the factory boss took and sent me by whatsapp today.......it's the first glimpse of any transparent holographics on the Vegas Diffractor

Haha, indeed they are. I tell you what, I'll give you one guess whether the corners have been cut yet or not. Just the one....you can do it, I believe in you!

On a serious note though (regarding this comment), there are probably many playing card enthusiasts who have no idea that playing card corners are cut in a seperate process to the general cutting of the playing card sheets themselves.

They’ll be available on eBay and maybe even our market here for a small mark-up. If you cry about how expensive they are, check out what the first VXD set, Stars and Stripes, will set you back.

Now, when I am going to get photo-electric cards that will absorb the ambient light and turn it to electricity to light micro lights throughout the deck? I mean, is that so much to ask?

Haha, yes Brad, we shall kick the innovation / invention machine up a gear or two ok!

While we're at it with the photo-electric decks, how about we also make them 'SmartCards' that have RFID chips in and recognise each other (for when laid next to each other, in poker or Blackjack say) and they light up to show the winning hand?

You might have to give us a couple more years on that one...

My coworker and I were just discussing that this morning...

I'm sad that I had to drop my pledge for this early in the campaign. Everything is turning out nicer than I had imagined.

If you missed the Las Vegas edition, I wouldn't worry. I am sure the London edition coming up will be even more amazing. I am really excited about the collaboration with Cartamundi for the card production. Hopefully also he will have a great new supplier for the aluminum tucks. BTW, if you didn't get one of the aluminum tucks, you should try to get one on the next campaign, they are really distinctive and worth the extra $$$.

Brad (& all)

London is taking a bit longer than we thought....we had a design but are totally re-doing it currently. Lance and I are meeting regularly on it. As you might imagine, the story for the London Diffractor is of a much older time and the artwork reflects that of course. It will work well coming straight after Las Vegas. A super old historical city following directly after the newest city in our series. Artwork is already looking awesome!

Re our new partnership...yes it will strengthen our production certainly. For those interested, here is the current process, which is definitely unlike anyone else in the industry for sure:

1) Design of playing cards and traditional cardboard tucks by VXD International & an established artist (Lance, in the case of Vegas & London). Design encompasses: inks layer, foil layer, transparent holographic layer.
2) Design of our metal tucks by VXD International
3) Printing of all playing cards including inks, foils and transparent holographics and slip-coating by our Premium Printer (Vrijdag) in Holland
4) We send uncut sheets to Cartamundi in Belgium, where they cut, sort and cello-wrap all decks
5) Traditional cardboard tucks also made by Cartamundi
6) Metal tucks made in China (new supplier now)
7) All the product then sent to our warehouse in Germany
8) Combination of all units done at our warehouse, then packaged and shipped to everyone worldwide

Those are the steps, in a nutshell. Easy
