Buyer has been sending extremely low-ball offers (25% of listed price), so I blocked him as a bidder.
Just got an harassing direct message, so I called eBay and he's being monitored by the Trust & Safety team to see if this is a pattern.
Still unsure if they were able to block direct messages on their end.
Anyways, just a potential heads-up.

Is there a list for bad eBay buyers?hikeeba wrote:Buyer has been sending extremely low-ball offers (25% of listed price), so I blocked him as a bidder.

Every eBay account has a "blocked bidder" list you can maintain (especially good against those buyers who don't pay).
As for a thread with a list, there's no single place where they're listed. Generally when someone has a bad experience they just create a new thread. Given the volume of people here and the volume of transactions we all have on eBay, one person's experience could help someone else avoid potential aggravation.
I certainly appreciate seeing other people posts and readily acknowledge that my experience may not be the common experience but I feel it's better to mention it than not. (As an example, it seems this person pays when he buys - and has successfully had best offers with other sellers, but with me, when his offers were blown off he came back mocking like a baby because the listing is still up (even though a couple of his other low offer-ed lots have sold.))

Would it be useful if to create a list for ebayers to add bad bidders so these situations don't happen as often?hikeeba wrote:Every eBay account has a "blocked bidder" list you can maintain (especially good against those buyers who don't pay).

Yes. We have this "eBay Blocked User List" thread on the CGC Forums, and the OP typically updates the first post to include every user with habitual/extreme offenses.chicken_ql wrote:Would it be useful if to create a list for ebayers to add bad bidders so these situations don't happen as often?hikeeba wrote:Every eBay account has a "blocked bidder" list you can maintain (especially good against those buyers who don't pay).

It would be a good idea for someone to create (and Mod sticky) one here.
