I have no idea what's involved in making this happen, but I think it would be a great goal and something that would benefit backers at every level.

How would backers feel about a Rhinoceros Beetle card guard as a nice extra? Could be fun if the 5th deck doesn't happen and it wouldn't disrupt current backers' tiers. Would be a cool pairing with the TGW card guard.
It's just bananas that Omar and Lorenzo have to figure out what more can be done for this campaign as they strive for 1000%!
"But why male models?"

So, in Lorenzo's latest post on instagram, he's asking about the brick sleeve, whether he should letterpress with red ink, or change it to gold foil. I suggested red foil. What do you all think?

Most people here seem to either not care about or dislike signatures on tucks, but I'm a madman who rips through cello and seals so what's a little ink? To me my card collection is an art collection!

(please keep this conversation to this board ok? THanks!)

5th Purple/Gold variant of the deck is an option. Does a split brick of 3/3/3/3 appeal? Collector's tier could get it for a small add-on fee. Everyone else can add it at normal price. Is 5 decks too messy? Too much? Are people fatigued?

A mini deck is an option. Perhaps a mini blue or red deck. This is more expensive for us. We could gift some or discount them for brick buyers.
No, no more decks. This is already turning/turned into another MInt 2/ Elixir campaign where the addons was just crazy. Not that we don't appreciate the free coin and gaff pack.

I would like to propose extra cards with the Lady Wake as gaff Queen/king or joker (Coffee ring makeup) or yourself in one of your costume.

Or a Parlour calling card with the Green limited deck back for those who don't want to open the deck but can still enjoy the foil work. It can come with the Gaff card pack.

If you really wanna make it magician friendly, consider a stripper option like Asad did with Mint 2.

Break out the pitchforks! "No more decks! No more decks!"

You're already lucky that I want all 4 that have been designed so far. Five is WAY too many here.

Yes, red foil would be great.

I'm a bit late to the party. Initially I was excited about a potential purple deck but after reading through, I understand many of the reasons against.

I do think adding green cold foil to the backs would be a good stretch goal or some foil to the card fronts.

I also like the idea of including one green card outside of the deck so folks can look at it without opening the limited green deck. I open pretty much all of my decks anyhow, but would be a cool option that maybe I wouldn't need to open this one.

I would be down with a sticker pack, especially with some foil on them. Perhaps make some of them purple and gold.

2 signatures on the brick box would be pretty awesome, you would only need to mail a package of the bands not the whole box so I think could be doable.

It is hard to say, I feel pretty damn happy with the campaign as is. I feel like it has been amazing and I would just be like a whiny little kid asking for anything more. You 2 have really outdone yourselves! It has been an amazing ride and I am extremely happy for you!

Have no problem with a 5th deck..... Upgrades to cards would be good such as foil, this would be good for all backers as i think was said in the campaign or/and somewhere on here A nice wooden parlour brick box !!?

I have a couple of Uusi boxes and a Jackson one and they are really nice, always interested in more.....

I would only want a fifth deck if it did become a 3/3/3/3 for bricks. As an add-on deck, I would probably pass. But overall, I think a fifth deck is too many.

I think we're also in agreement. We may do small tweaks but I don't anticipate any new decks.

Yeah, gotta save some for the next project . Shouldn't load up all your ideas on just 1 project, not if you want to break Mint 2's record!
More cold foil on the other decks will be sweet!

I'm glad just to only pledge for the blue and red decks. If the green tuck looked like the red and blue, I probably would've got it.

I get the concerns folks have about gilding, especially from cardists. It really makes handling of cards much poorer in almost all respects. Even collectors are not always wild about gilding, especially the significant higher cost. As someone who tends to like lower issues and the "ultimate" deck of the series, I will tend to gravitate to gilding because of that perhaps even more than the gilding itself. That said, gilding can look cool, but not sure it is all that cool as when you spread the deck out, then the gilding all but vanishes.

Cannot agree more. Foil does not automatically make a deck better. Some comments around here often suggest otherwise.

I like gilding on "Collector's Edition"-type decks, like JR's Kings Wild. It makes the sealed deck I keep locked up a little more special. Same cards, just a little extra for my homies.

I realize that foil (or metallic inks) doesn't *always* make a deck better, but it *often* does. At least, to my tastes. I realize I may be gauche, but there it is.

I like art that moves / looks different when you look at it from different angles. Thus, I like three-dimensional work, and work that changes in the light when you (or the light source) move; hence, the way foil and metallic inks change in the light captures my attention.

TGW's parlour, itself, is a work of art, with all of the three-dimensional art placed around the room. As such, I think some fine metallic ink-work on the face cards could evoke the same classy, changes-with-your-perspective sensibility.

I also agree that metallic inks would make these decks better. I would say that, on average, metallic inks would make more decks better than foils.

I'm curious if you're saying this because you just like metallic inks better, or if you saying this due to implementation restrictions (i.e. finer details work better with metallic inks vs. foil - see Gorilla Silverbacks as an example), because I completely agree with the details issue. However, when executed well, almost every foiled deck I have continues to have more of that Wow factor to me vs. a metallic ink deck.

Every deck is different. The metallic ink and foil needs to work for the deck and be part of the overall design aspect and choices. Sometimes just having one ink color be metallic works within a design.

What I prefer would be on a deck-by-deck basis. Based on my experience, I find that metallic inks bring out "more" (more often) in a deck more-so than foils do. It has to do with the subtlety of ink vs metal.

For example, almost every deck is improved by metallic red inks, because of the way that the color pops on all diamonds and hearts. I think you have to be more choosy with foil. It takes the right touch. And yes, finer detail is also a plus when compared with foil.
