This campaign looks quite ambitious for a first-time creator... also his profile description sounds suspicious:
KS profile: "Musician, Card Enthusiast, Self Help Satirist, Poet, Comedian etc. with plans to expand on what originally started as a little hobby in collecting cards and is now venturing into the playing cards industry by creating my own brand and working alongside the best graphic designers and manufacturers in the business who have been involved in and overseen countless successful Kickstarter projects."
IG profile: "Musician, Self Help Satirist, Poet, Comedian, Card Collector, Playwright and Self-made Thousandaire."
What are the chances of pulling this off and delivering?

I'd bet pretty high since Costa's put in a lot of time & hard work to make this deck happen and has been sharing much of the process over the past few months with us in the deck drafting board here; even networking with the community to seek out feedback from members and help & advice from veteran designers/producers as well.
I do agree that a huge project like this is quite an ambitious undertaking for a first-time creator, but he's also been pretty proactive in going the extra mile to ensure he can deliver a great deck and well put-together campaign and I'd like to think most intending to pull a scam wouldn't bother investing that kind of extra effort knowing that he'll be held to a much higher degree of accountability compared to if he had just decided to remain a stranger instead.
Actually, looking at the campaign it seems there are 5 decks. Primordial Aether Standard (1500 print run) and Aehter Limited (500 print run gilded) both printed in US. Primordial Chaos Standard (1500 print run) and Chaos Limited (500 print run Red Gilded) both also printed in US. And then the Pantheon deck (200 print run) printed by MPC.
Considering I can get 2 each of the standards for ~$42 with early bird, that is pretty reasonable. Not sure I want to spend $45 each for the gilded versions though and definitely an easy pass on the Pantheon for $92.

I guess my light-hearted sense of humour doesn't appeal to everyone then although this is the first time I've been referred to as a 'scammer' or 'suspect'

Thanks PipChick for the kind words, I wanted this to be an extra special project whereby I could have most off the special items and add-ons available from the offset rather then as stretch goals hence the higher target and having more experienced designers, such as Giovanni (Thirdway) there with me through the process to address any concerns I had or offer advice has been very helpful and insightful as well.

I bet high too. Known Costa as a playing card collector and have exchanged a few messages in last two years. The funding goal appear ambitious but then there are 5 decks on offer too.

No no, by no means I'm referring you as a scammer!
It's just that there are a good number of campaigns on KS that went off track after being funded. Probably I'm relatively new to the forum so I didn't see your past posts on this project, but thanks for the reply, and that's quite a reassurance along with Pipchicks' words.
That said, I wish the project funds well!

I know exactly what you mean though re: other campaigns and creators going awol as I've backed some in the past that never materialised in the end as well so I feel your pain as well and understand any hesitance to back a project by someone who is new to the game or not established. No problem at all I intend to see this one through to the end 100% and everything is prepped and ready and in place for when the campaign ends
I'll back the Red 4XL Caratcase Bundle, but the Pantheon @$92 by MPC is an easy pass for me...Can't imagine an MPC deck can cost almlst $100 in a campaign (even it gilded and with a Caratcase) !
Would it be better just to state USPCC/MPC under each respective deck?
Maybe speculators would be more reassured to become backers, as far as I know

+1 - definitely a small detail worth making explicitly clear as I too had second thoughts about how the ambiguity of 'made in the USA' opens interpretation to other, lesser printers when not stated USPCC.
All decks aside from the Pantheon are made by USPCC, this is listed under each of the card descriptions for both 'Aether and 'Chaos' decks along with other additional features they have individually so I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding both of what you are suggesting as this information is already given...
Sorry, my bad. Ignore the above - I've spotted what you are referring to and made the additional additions to the descriptions. Thank you for that, much appreciated

I would recommend making it well known that (most of) these decks are being printed by USPCC. It's a major selling point and might help increase your backers.
This is seriously impressive for a first-time creator Dice, pouches, coins, art prints, metal cards, card guard, carat cases.... I just wish I could add on a carat case

Gio and Sunish have been acting in an informal advisory capacity, it sounds. The artist has done some other well-received deck designs (e.g. Gentlemen, Hercules). And Sherman, of course, needs no introduction here. It's not surprising, given that kind of brain trust, that this doesn't feel like a first-time campaign.
I doubt I'll envy the creators who'll be up against this campaign for 2019's Best Rookie Deck, is what I'm saying.
Thank you all for the kinds words. Yes, it is the first one so I wanted it to be a little bit special with the extras available. I'm not an avid fan of stretch goals myself so I've tried to include as much as possible from the offset and taken a small gamble with a higher target amount on the campaign.
hs, when you say a shame a shame you can't get a carat case I assume you mean one on it's own - ie customise a pledge as opposed to selecting any one of the options I have available. I didn't think this question would crop up on a regular basis but in all honesty I have been asked this a few times now so I think I might just add the option to add separate cases over the coming few days.
Did you see an acceleration in funding after putting USPCC made up front?

There's been a gradual increase over the last day or so. I think it's at the slow build phase looking at the pattern as obviously the bulk of the pledges come in at the first few days of the project as a large number tend to jump in at the start of a campaign before I updated the manufacturer info to make it clearer. I couldn't say 100% if highlighting the manufacturers of the cards made a very huge difference but it's certainly possible for sure it could well be due to this, if so then great.
I'll be adding the option to pick up the cases separate as well in the coming few days as I've had enough inquiries now from multiple backers about including this option I'll do it. In hindsight it was an obvious one to have from the very start but it genuinely skipped my mind somehow haha
