Have to agree, Don't like the back design much at all, much preferred the v1 backs. Speaking of which, do all the variants have the same back design - it looks like they do.

Each to their own I guess. I really love them and we've had great feedback on the card back art. It is younger though and also a bit more cardistry-appealing this time (along with the artwork story / identity, as opposed to the oh-so-loved abstract cardback art), so it will never be possible to please everyone. We're happy.

No i get that 100%... I am glad for you that most seem to like the back.. You have to please the majority. Any chance to have 1 deck printed with a solid back or something simple at one point. I definitively would go for that . Good luck in your next KS

I am definitely backing. I too will love to see more of an artistic collector style deck in the future. I am sure it will come. I wish I had collected the last Kickstarter. At this point, you could print a VMP deck (an inside joke here for an epically bad deck) and I am still in. I am sure these will fly off the shelves, and I will get a set or two.

For me if both circles with the palm tree art were gone and the 4 stars in the corner that would be a win. Just your center logo with the Vegas bulb sign would be a major improvement.. But again that is just my taste. The stars could stay maybe I would have to see what it looks like but definitively that guy saluting at the palm trees or whatever that is should go

Yes, For me it's the centre images that I don't like. The overall composition is fine.

I talked about this earlier in the thread, but I too don't care much for the centre artwork (the circles). The V1 image would be better, or something entirely new but I have no idea what that could be.

Launch date is tomorrow, June 19th. Launch time in different time zones is as follows:

PST - 3pm

I was just about to pledge, but I took one more look at the back design and decided to hold off. This is a wonderful technology and the faces of the cards look stunning, but I just can't pull the trigger because of how unappealing the back looks. I hope this technology gets licensed out to other designers who are able to utilize it in a better card design, so I'll wait until then.

For what it’s worth I think it’s a mistake categorising this project under “Gadgets” and not “Playing Cards” on KS - A lot of casual traffic won’t stumble on this unless they manually search for playing cards or diffractors in the search field
