This is our new playing cards inspired on the classic novel by Cervantes titled "The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha". It was hard to re imagine and illustrate the characters from the book but it was fun! Also, I recommend reading the book if you haven't haha it's really good and very inspiring. The book is in two volumes and for this deck we filled it with characters from the first one thus Vol. 1, Vol. 2 will be coming out this year as well. It'll be printed by LPCC on Emerald Finish. Tell me what you guys think. Cheers!
Were releasing on Kickstarter in a few hours at 12pm EDT hope to see you guys there! Thanks!
Also a big thank you to Ivan from Kardify and Max Playing cards for the articles you can check them out here.
This looks insane! Now, I beg of you please let the shipping costs to Spain be low! I have had to pass on so many decks lately because shipping costs were almost the same as the price of the deck.
I'm usually not a big fan of blacked out backgrounds and the required alternate pip colors, but the artwork on this one is really good! I'll be checking in when launched and unless they are priced too high I'll certainly be considering it. Good luck and great job!
You know what? the gold on black is reminding me of "damasquinado" from Toledo(inlay of gold string into blackened metal).
This is also from the region of El Quijote.
edit: it actually is from the same region where the Quijote plays (Somewhere in La Mancha)
Ooh so that is what it's called. I did a lot of research on Spanish art and found this form really interesting that's why I incorporated it. Thanks for that!
I'm also from Spain and this work is really great, and pricing also! It just brings memories back from the time we studied El Quijote at school. But what else is to expect from the Fuego guys!

Every deck I open makes your sealed one more valuable. You're welcome.
@Jsantafe - Haha thanks for that! I try to keep prices at an affordable rate so more people can enjoy it worldwide. for every deck release by Cellar Window I'll do a different style of illustration. I loved the book to since I was a kid, wasn't able to finish vol 2 of it though. Now that I'm older I finally finished it and it really is a great Spanish treasure!
I'm not really a fan of black decks. This deck isn't my cup of tea but I can see why many people will like it. I hope your project funds and is a great success. Looking forward to the next one.
@TGunitedcardists - I hear you and Nate, I'm looking to design what you guys suggested. Might send it here in the near future. Thank you for the compliments! Cheers!

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.
Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a penguin. Have you ever met a sad person with a penguin?
Are lobsters mermaids to scorpions?
"I did not hit her, it's not true, it's bullsh*t, I did not hit her, I did naaaht! Oh hai Mark!"
I really like the design, reminds of a elegant version of he bicycle fan backs. I backed for a few. Thank you for the cheap shipping costs! Finally someone who keeps oversea buyers in mind and doesn't ripoff anyone with a 15$ kickstarter deck. I really appreciate it! The first kickstarter deck, I backed since a long time now. I wish you good luck with your campaign!
Single EB will be available soon, around 10am eastern. I really do like this one, esp for EB price, but I have no room left and need to be more selective.
I've backed for the early bird for two decks and am thinking about maybe getting one to open up. How dare anybody back out of such a classic deck of playing cards
I was happily surprised to receive these in the mail today. I had forgotten about them. The pictures from my phone do not do them justice. The gold foiling really pops! I only pledged for one deck of each and now I am wishing I had done two of each.
Got mine a few days ago and the tucks are beautiful. No embossing but with all the pretty foil accents the box is just fine without the embossing. The White tuck is my favorite in person, almost to the point where I wish I only got the white deck. Almost... I'll try to scan these into P52 in the next few days.
Anyone else having problems with this project? I haven't received anything and from the looks of it I'm not alone and the creators have gone silent. Definitely not backing them again!

Same Here. Sent a message via Kickstarter a few days back, but no response.
Huh? This isn't from Passione. I checked their Facebook page this morning and did send a message but am not expecting a response since they don't seem active.
I am trying to contact Legends since they did fulfillment and it's the second time in the same time period that one of their packages has pulled a vanishing act!

You're totally right, I messed Teliad with Dom Quixote!!
Sorry about that!
